Hello everyone! The official RELEASE DATE for the zine is APRIL 7TH! Fantroll Day! Our artists, musicians, and writers have been working very hard and we're very excited to get to share all of their hard work with you all! Thank you for your patience and all the support!

Hi! I was curious, do all the pieces in our portfolio have to be fantroll related? Or can we have one piece related to our fantrolls, and two more that shows more variety (backgrounds, coloring, poses, etc)? I ask as I don't have enough pieces of my fantrolls that show enough variety.
It’d be good to have at least one piece in it that’s related to fantrolls, but the portfolios do not have to be limited to just fantrolls!

I dug through & didn't see an answer to this but what if we don't have any drawings of our fantroll in our portfolio. Should we send in a reference or is it not necessary? Thank you
Ideally, you should provide the best work you think goes with the zine’s theme in your portfolio. But it’s not 100% necessary for it all to be fantrolls.
Question: are we only allowed to draw our own fantrolls, or can we also include others? (MSPFA fantrolls (not Vast Error), friends fantrolls, etc..)
We ask that while the contributor’s main focus on their work be their own fantroll(s), you can include others (MSPFA fantrolls, Vast Error, friend’s fantrolls, etc.) as people in the bg or with hanging out with your own characters.
Asking before I send over the application: If a person does want to contribute both art and writing but option makes us choose only one, will we get an opportunity to make an additional piece in the future?
Hello, yes! You will get the opportunity to do an additional piece, but we suggest that you put both the mediums, as well as which of the two you would like to explore first in the comment part of the application form.

The Beyond the Sky zine is a zine dedicated to fantrolls both on and off Alternia, and any other universes out there! We want to use this zine to showcase the creativity of the fandom and the love we have for these characters.
