“ I come from a lineage of broken male-female relationships, abuse of power, and mistrust. Only when i saw that clearly was i able to resolve those conflicts in my own relationship. Connecting to the past and knowing our history makes us both bruised and beautiful. I researched my ancestry recently and learned that i come from a slave owner who fell in love with and married a slave. I had to process that revelation over time. I questioned what it meant and tried to put it into perspective. I now believe it’s why God blessed me with my twins. Male and female energy was able to coexist in my blood for the first time. I pray that i am able to break the generational curses in my family and that my children will have less complicated lives”
