Do you remember what your first case felt like?
First is such an interesting word. You’d think it to be a straightforward word with a single meaning and yet there are so many variations. There’s the First as in the first that comes to mind when asked. The one a person holds in their mind as the the beginning of something new. Then there'swhat people like to call the ‘'First first’ as in the true first instance. It may not have met all the requirements of the task but in the truest form it holds the title of first. Finally there’s the Actual First. When all the requirements were met, the first time that shaped the mold from which all the following states were based and resemble.
So do I remember my first? I remember many first cases, and yet in some way that feeling remains every time. The terrifying thrill of something knew never truly goes away. The beginning and the end will always be impossible for the one experiencing them to define.
