Poor Dan Patrick couldn't even win the endorsement of the College Station newspaper. College Station.
Last week, Leticia Van de Putte was joined by Eva Longoria and Congressman Joaquin Castro for a Get Out the Vote rally in San Antonio.
"Please know this, when you are going in for a second shift at work, when you're trying to figure out how you're going to pay for your child's tuition, or maybe pay that light bill that is due, know this, that you will have a governor who is in the capitol, who is thinking about you, who is fighting for you, who understands what it's like to face struggles in life and look down a road that feels like there are no opportunities on it, and yet who stands here with the privilege of having the opportunity to ask you to serve as your next governor. And please know this, that she has not forgotten where she comes from, that she knows you and she knows hard working people in this state, because she IS you and because she will never forget who it is that's elected her to serve and who it is that she's fighting for, and she, I, will fight for you. Every. Single. Day."

This election is different.
Chip in $3 if you believe in Wendy.
Voting is awesome. It's even better with other people. And when you bring a fleet of friends to vote early? That's Texas-sized greatness.
Go vote now.
UTPA is ready to #TurnOutForWendy!
It’s time… #GoVoteNow!

Leticia Van de Putte: 5. Dan Patrick: 0.
Sharons 4 Wendy! Time to get out the vote.
Back with a brand-new invention.
"Wait, Wendy's within striking distance? Guess I better vote early!" Commit to vote.
Poor Dan Patrick.
We be big signin’ for Wendy D!
What day is it?
On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was...
And that means you've only got 3 more days to get registered to vote!
"I have the sense that Abbott has spent the last ten years cooped up in a law office." Yep, sounds about right...
Greg Abbott on the Texas DREAM Act...
Moderator: "Would you veto a bill from the legislature that repeals this law?"
(That would be a no. He'd watch the Texas DREAM Act go up in flames.)
Greg Abbott on marriage equality...
Moderator: "If a 10-year-old asked if her two dads could get married, what would you say?"
Abbott: For me personally, this is more than a constitutional amendment. I've been married to my wife, Cecilia, for more than 33 years now.
Moderator: Is that what you would tell to the 10-year-old?
Hello?
Leticia vs. Dan
A little primer before Leticia Van de Putte goes head-to-head with Dan Patrick tonight in the first and only lieutenant governor debate...
Dan Patrick claims he "led the charge to restore most of the education cuts from last session." Pants on fire. He did exactly the opposite.
Dan Patrick is in full opposition of marriage equality.
Dan Patrick voted against equal pay for equal work.
Leticia Van de Putte, tho. She's an advocate for marriage equality.
Leticia Van de Putte supports equal pay for equal work.
Leticia Van de Putte wants to expand access to education, including universal full-day pre-K.
Don't miss a minute of the debate tonight:
