I hear antis say that ichihime may had more interactions overall but they were mostly little moments while ichiruki had less but more profound and dramatic [eyes staring, dramatic looks and pages etc] so basically quality over quantity. I mean, they gotta tell themselves this to deal with the ending I guess but still..what?😂

Well, at least they can admit that IchiHime had more moments and interactions overall. But to suggest that they were mostly just “little moments” or “nothing dramatc/profound” well…

We’ve got it alllll. Comedy, fluff, angst, heartfelt moments, romantic tropes, dramatic looks, puppy dog eyes, development, and more screentime than any other pairing, stretching across every single major arc, and with a confirmation from the mangaka himself that their love was planned all along, to boot. Quality over quantity, but in our case, we’ve got the quality and the quantity :)

Daqiao’s pugil stick mini campaign (DLC weapon)

So, after a long thought and consideration, i've decided to make another mini campaign to bring Daqiao's twin canes/pugil sticks back as DLC in DW9 on Twitter.

But before i continue, let me say that i completely respect people who prefer her to use the twin fans more, i’m also fully aware that this game is not even out yet and we still don't even know whether both Qiaos will end up sharing the same moveset or not, or if the moveset will scream Daqiao more instead of Xiaoqiao or vice versa. So, this time i won't force anyone to join this campaign with me unlike the previous twin canes petition that i had held during DW7 era.

But, if anyone here is still interested or think that the pugil stick should return whether to replace her current weapon or just as her secondary weapon, then by all means please do support the campaign simply by just LIKING AND RETWEETING the tweet in the link below using your twitter account:

I’ve been holding this by myself but i guess i’m just gonna vent it out now.

Honestly, i’m really disappointed with the fact that Daqiao doesn’t retain her twin wands a.k.a Pugil Sticks in DW9. Not only because i’ve fought so hard for that weapon return as DLC in DW7, but the fact that she’s the only character from Wu whose using a full magic-based moveset and now she’s back using a physical attack is really a major letdown for me. Heck, she’s the only female character that belong to “mental” type in DW:Eiketsuden (Godseekers).

The even sadder thing is, the fact that some people started to bring the “pugil stick is too childish for her” argument lately. I mean yes. I also have no idea why KOEI decided to pick the heart shaped weapon design as her default weapon whereas there’s plenty more decent designs for Pugil Stick in Multi Raid 2, and yes, i also have no idea why KOEI changed her concept as the typical magical girl in DW8 whereas in Multi Raid 2 she acted like a proper mage/pseudo mystic who can create magic shield, magic seal and even summon lightning attack. My point is, with the moveset being reworked from the scratch, KOEI could easily remake her moveset based on her Multi Raid 2 moveset instead of her DW8 one. They even could revert her default weapon design to her original default weapon in DW Multi Raid 2 (budding staff) so she could still use that weapon without have to bring a sense of childish.

Before someone telling me to hope for that weapon to be used by other character, no thanks, i don’t want that weapon to be owned by someone else other than her, even including her “daughter” if she’s ever added in the future.

However i don’t want to sound so salty all the time, so i want to congratulate her fans and some others who were pleased to see her regaining her twin fans back. After all her twin fans and her character itself were the reasons why i picked her as my favorite character since DW3. I only can hope that her moveset will be differentiated than Xiaoqiao’s moveset, probably making her to use more magic based attack while Xiaoqiao more physical attack.

TL;DR

I can only hope that KOEI will bring this weapon again as DLC in DW9, i’ll surely buy this on day one.
