Final Project: Composition
The final project for the Composition Module was a group video. The theme of the Video was “transition” which could be a real life reference shown in an abstract manner. Everything from the graphics to sound had to created by the group members.
We had 3 days to conceptualise, create and compile the video along with the music.
We started off with storyboards to come up with our own concepts for the video.
Upon finalising the narrative, it was time to shoot. Here’s a shot of my shooting location
The biggest challenge for our group was to create music since none of us had worked with sound before. Nevertheless, the entire group came through by finding objects and ways to create sounds with and gave it our best shot.
This is what my voice recorder looked like by the end of it.
All in all, it was a fantastic learning experience that made me break my own notion of being rhythemically challenged and tried to create as many sounds I could. The entire team came together to help each other with whatever knowledge and skills we had. Most importantly, we had fun making it and interacting with each other as we were all missing the college experience and this gave us the opportunity to live it as best as we could in the ongoing pandemic.
