Once a year the government liked to pretend that Grimstone Point and Grimstone Park were like any other towns in the world, but that was the farthest thing from the truth. Bianca wondered if they did this for their amusement if this was like their version of The Hunger Games, granted there were no brutal murders during this week, but she was sure that the government did watch their every move. “Next” those words pulled her out of her thoughts and the raven-haired girl looked up. “Just one to bungee jump.” She said to the person in the ticketing booth. 

“Are you gonna jump to or are you here just making fun of the faces that those that jump make?” She asked the person next to her.

Elizabeth sat on the ground, her eyes closed, as she focused on the earth around her. She was trying to meditate and usually, it wasn’t that hard for her to do so. But recently, her mind wouldn’t stay quiet. The sickness was worrisome, her last encounter with Daniel kept playing in her head, and the fact that the earth barely did as she asked as of late stressed her out beyond what she wanted. She thought she had finally gained control over her power but once again, her emotions decided otherwise. 

The earthquake generator pulled in a deep breath, held it for a few minutes and then counted down from ten as she let the breath out. As she did so, she heard a stick break behind her and she flinched, automatically coming out of whatever “zen” moment she had just been in. “Come to join me or are you here to disrupt my relaxation time?”

Bianca had been keeping to herself lately, it was just easier for her to do that then to try and pretend that she was okay with what was going on. But she had decided that she had done enough wallowing for a day and that she would try to get out and see how the town was doing, how her friends were doing. 

She had no idea who she should go to first or if she should even go to look for someone, but it seemed like the world would take care of that seeing how the first person she came across was Elizabeth. “Can’t I do both? I’m a great multitasker.” She said with a smile as she walked closer to her friend.

Sighing Rosalie approached her roommate and gave a small shrug. “Honestly, I’d rather not have the building torn down since that will be yet another thing we will have to clean up just like we had to do months ago Bianca…” Rosalie swallowed hard not wanting to bring up the past, a past that both woman were not on the same side of, and really had just wanted to move forward. For her, the situation hadn’t really changed since it wasn’t like she was in any hurry to leave Lake Grimstone. However, the shadow mimicker could understand the frustrations Bianca could be feeling after everything they had done and were nowhere near their “freedom.”

“Why don’t you go talk to your leader? I mean…our new government I guess. They’ll probably tell you whats going on no?” Rosalie offered. She hated calling them their government for Rosalie would never considered them a government to begin with. However, for the sake of this conversation, she’d call them so. “Isn’t that The Rising Tide? People who understand and are more “see-through” then our previous government?” Rosalie’s sarcasm just couldn’t be helped.

Bianca couldn’t blame Rosalie for being upset because she knew many people were upset whether it be because they weren’t able to leave yet or because their side had lost the war. The raven-haired woman looked over at her roommate and even though she didn’t want to admit that TRP wasn’t being as open as they had claimed to be, she was sure that Rosalie would be able to see Bianca’s disappointment in her eyes. 

“Shit is just taking longer than we would like.” She finally said. “As for cleaning up, we won’t be here long enough to where we would need to clean up. Instead of wasting our time doing that, we should think about what we want to do when we finally leave this place.”

Valentina was so comfortable around Bianca maybe sometimes to comftable. She took the females drink off the table and took a sip before putting it back down “ no many can measure up to us Bee.” She agreed with her friend “it’s hot that you want to protect me but it’s only Gabriella and I don’t want you beating her up.” Because that would mean beating her up

Making friends had never been easy for Bianca and on paper one might have assumed that these two girls would not get along and yet they got along quite great. “Correction, no one can measure up to us,” Bianca replied giving Valentina a flirtatious smile. “We are just so much better than everyone else around here.” She chuckled. “Hmm is she still trying to take over?” Bianca asked, “because I know of a way to keep her away, at least for a while.” She said as she leaned forward to capture Valentina’s lips with hers. “She tends to hide away when we do this.” She whispered against her lips.

Valentina had an understanding with Bianca that even though they were close friends they had needs, sometimes craved attention. Well Valentina did, the indescribable feeling when someone is only looking at you, when she was the only thing in the room. She didn’t waste anytime when she saw Bianca sat at the table. She placed her self in the females lap her hand massaging the back of bees neck “why is everyone in this town insufferable?”

There weren’t many people that Bianca was comfortable with or that she got along with, but she did get along with Valentina. The two had a lot in common, down to their needs and desires. As soon as the dark-haired beauty walked in Bianca couldn’t help but smile. Her hand moved to Val’s thigh and she smiled up at her. “Because not everyone can be as amazing as we are.” She said with a chuckle. “Who pissed you off and do you want me to hurt them?”

There was a small smile on her lips as she shook her head. “There’s no catch. Helping you guys is something I used to do, before all this. And maybe it would be training for me too. A mutual thing.” So many things had changed in the last years that she did not blame Bianca for thinking Danika had an ulterior motive. And maybe she had some after all. She apparently became someone who did this, played people. But if Bianca was angry at The Rising Power and she got stronger, maybe Danika could try to persuade her that there was another option in all this. “Yeah, it does seem like it, doesn’t it? That would mean they want something else from us, otherwise they would not keep us around.”

Of course, Bianca was a bit wary about Danika’s motives, but it wasn’t just her motives, it was everyone’s. The only person she really trusted was Zane, she didn’t even trust Ian anymore. “That makes sense, TRP probably wants us in tip-top shape or something like that,” Bianca said with a shrug. The truth was that she didn’t know what TRP was waiting for to let them go, they had already proven their loyalty to the group, had that not been enough? Bianca let out a sarcastic chuckle and shook her head. “What more could they possibly want? They have our souls.” The last part she had said it under her breath, not all of them had sold their souls to TRP, just those that had turned on their friends and had done the unthinkable had.

“That hardly seems efficient,” Theodore pointed out. He was not so naive as to think that Bianca wouldn’t try, but discouraging her seemed pointless. He couldn’t stop her, though he hoped that if she started, she had the courtesy to warn him so he could get a safe distance away first. “You’d need to know before you started that you’d topple it before you wore yourself out. Or, worse, if you ran out of power and the building began to fall toward you, you’d most likely die, which I suspect would defeat the purpose of trying to knock to building down. Better to do some research first.”

Okay, who was this guy and why was he so... literal? Was that the word? probably not, but that’s how he felt to Bianca. Though he did have a point, if the building fell on her then all she had really done was give TRP one less person to worry about. “Alright, smartass,” the smirk on her lips showing that she was entertained by the guy rather than annoyed. “How do I find out if I’m going to topple this building towards me?”

“I’d volunteer to help you do anything, love. You know that.” He leaned forward and kissed her on the lips. He’d do anything for Bianca. “I’m not either.” He agreed. He liked that they were always on the same page, whether they communicated that fact or not. “See if we can? Do you have no faith in our powers, Bee?” He teased her with a smile. “Maybe knocking down a few buildings will get their attention again.”  Zane took out a small blade from his pocket, one that he always carried around, and sliced his skin on his wrist. He didn’t want to use Bianca’s blood; he’d rather use his own. He pulled blood from his own arm, creating an arc with it as he took as much as he thought he’d need. He then sped up the circulation of his blood, allowing his skin to begin healing at a quicker pace. “You ready?” He asked with a devious smile.

“And that is why I love you.” Bianca said with a smile on her lips just as he pressed his lips against them. “What if we were played?” She asked looking up at him. Bianca didn’t want to think that way, but what else was she supposed to think? “Not at all, I know what we are capable of.” She chuckled. 

Now, others might be a bit disturbed by Zane’s power, but Bee wasn’t like others. The raven-haired girl knew that his power was a part of him and she loved every part of him. As always, she watched in awe as Zane prepared to use his power and she smirked once she saw what he had done. “Ready to show TRP that we mean business.”

Danika was silent for a second, thinking about Bianca’s words. People were angry at the rising power lately and not just those from the allied order. Everyone seemed to have something to say against them. “A tree is good, but big or not, it’s far from a building. You should train more. I could help you.” Her eyes were fixated on the building in front of them as she spoke again. “I don’t know. We did everything they asked and we’re still waiting.”

Bianca turned to face the teacher and cocked her head to the side. “What’s the catch?” She asked the women when she offered to help Bianca train, it wasn’t that she didn’t believe her, it was just that people weren’t usually nice to her unless they wanted something in return, or at least that’s how she felt. “It’s like they just wanted the power and that was it.” Bianca huffed.

It seemed like everyone was growing restless lately, waiting for the moment they would finally be able to leave. The moment where all their energy and fighting would finally be rewarded. And the days and weeks passed and it was still not in the plans. A part of Danika was soothed by that, it meant they still had time to try and mend things, to regain control. Maybe the wait would be too long and many would rebel against The Rising Power. The woman was all ears lately, trying to pick up on the other members, see where they were with all this. Frustration from them could be useful to Thomas and Antonia. Danika wanted to prove she had not completely failed and was still completely invested in what they did, what she wanted to do.

“I’m assuming a lot. What’s the biggest thing you ever managed to break with your power?”

“Not a building, that’s for sure,” Bianca said with a sigh as she tried to recall what the biggest thing she had brought down was. “A tree... back on the island. It was a big tree but not a building big.” She said before releasing another volley of energy. 

“This is a bunch of bs. I don’t get why the gates weren’t opened when TRP finally took over.”

Theodore considered the question. He turned away from Bianca to examine the building, tilting his head slowly to one side as he did so. She was probably not looking for a literal answer, it occurred to him, but he’d already begun answering, so it was too late now. “It would depend on what sort of energy you used,” he began slowly, not wanting to lose her. He knew his grasp of engineering was hardly perfect, but it was also more than most residents held. Bianca might know more, truthfully, given her experience with her own power, though he doubted she’d had many opportunities to topple buildings. Not no opportunities, clearly, but probably not many either. “And where you struck it, of course. If you had blueprints and hit the right spot, probably less than expected. But then again, most buildings are designed to be hard to knock down. Do you know anyone who works in construction you could ask?”

Bianca’s brow furrowed and her head cocked to the side at the guy's words. She had not been expecting a concrete answer, mostly because she didn’t think that anyone there really had one. Well, maybe someone that was studying engineering, but she didn’t know anyone that was or that would be interested in the subject enough to just read up on it as a hobby. “Not really, not in this town at least, out in the real world I might. But since I’m stuck in here, then I have no idea what my friends are up to. I guess that I can just keep shooting energy volleys at it and just count how many it takes.”

Zane smiled when he saw his fiancee. She was beautiful, as always, and he was amused at what she was doing. “Don’t you mean we will destroy the town? The rest of it, anyway.” Zane moved towards her and then glanced towards the small building in front of them. “Not much. It’s smaller, not as sturdy. You could probably hit it a couple of more times and it’ll fall.” 

Her lips twisted upwards into a smirk when she realized who it was that had walked up behind her. “Are you volunteering to help me destroy this place?” She asked as she turned to look at the handsome man that she was lucky enough to call her fiance. “It’s been too long and we’ve heard nothing from TRP... I’m not okay with that,” she said in a matter of fact tone. “Want to see if we can knock it down?”

Bianca had been patient for as long as she could, which really wasn’t too long, but it had been months and their freedom didn’t seem any closer than when the government was in control. The raven-haired beauty was irritated by how long all this was taking and she was ready to let everyone know that she had had it.

Bianca stood in front of the small building and she scoffed as she recalled that night. She had done things that she had never thought she could do and yet they had to be done in order for her and everyone to gain freedom. Bianca moved her hands around gathering all the kinetic energy that she could and with one swift move of her wrist she sent energy to the frame of the building. She heard footsteps behind her right before she sent another volley of energy towards the building. “If they won’t free us then I will just destroy the town, how much energy do you think is needed to knock this building down?”

Natasha huffed slightly as she trudged up the stairs to her apartment, thinking to herself that next time she’d take the elevator after teaching four classes in one day. Her knee ached slightly but she pushed the pain from her mind. Nat unlocked the door and pushed it open, quickly closing it behind her, and flicked on lights as she made her way deeper into the living room.

Nat dropped her bag on the floor by the couch and flicked on the tv, half listening to the reporter talk about the latest victim. She looked over her shoulder as she heard the door open again, offering a little wave to her roommate. “I have to remember to start locking it behind me. Got out of the habit since I moved back.”

It had been a long day for Bianca of just running errands and dance lessons, yes she still took dance lessons, she had to if she wanted to stay on top of her game. But the day was now over and she was finally going home to relax and unwind. Bianca walked down the long hallway, her manicured nails tapped against her leg getting as much kinetic energy as she could because nowadays you just couldn’t be too prepared. 

The dancer finally made it to her apartment but putting the key in was not necessary as the door was already unlocked. “Nat” she muttered as she walked in. “that would be a good idea unless you want to end up in the news.” She joked knowing that was probably more dark humor than was needed but she got her point across. “How was your day? Made anyone cry today?” She asked as she set her bag down.

Maybe Hunter sitting across from Bianca wasn’t something Jazmin would love but in Hunters eyes she’d have nothing to worry about. Even though his heart at one point had been with Bianca at one point, it wasn’t anymore, thier relationship was the opposite of what he now had with Jazmin and he had no intentions of going back to that. But that doesn’t stop the from being friends. “I’m not letting you back there do you know how much this place costs, I’m not letting you burn it down” Hunter chuckled. “Remember the last time you tired cooking for me?” He smiled replying the memorie in his head

“Hey!” She said sounding as if she was really offended by what he just brought up. “If I remember correctly, the food only burned because we kept doing other things,” Bianca said with a playful wink. Anyone looking on might think that Bianca was flirting with Hunter, but she was not, she was like that with everyone it just happened that Hunter was her ex so it made it seem like it was more than it really was. “So is it still a no on me burning- I mean cooking in your kitchen?”

Hunter had many things in his life that made him passionate about living. But the biggest, probably to Jazmins disappointment was cooking. He was so passionate about it, he had become a chef and his restaurant in lake Grimstone had three Michelin stars. But to keep on top of his game he need to continue to improve and change his menu, so hunter had decided to invite customers at random to eat his new recipes for free. There were a handful of these customers in the restaurant, once they had finished the meal Hunter came down and sat on their table and asked “ How did you find the new recipe.” And that what he exactly did when he saw that a customer had finished. “ if there are any improvements you think I could make please tell me so.”

From time to time it seemed like Hunter’s assistant didn’t look over the list as carefully as she should and Bianca would get an invite to come and try out the chef's new dish. Bianca, of course, had absolutely no problem attending the event and she was certain that Hunter didn’t mind it either, but most people assumed that being an ex meant that you had to hate each other and that was not the case here. “It needed a little salt, some pepper and... you know what, just let me go back there and fix the dish.” Bianca joked.

Bianca had a hard childhood, her father left her and her mother when she was six years old and her mother passed away when Bianca was thirteen. Having to move in with her aunt was not something she wanted to do and if not for her friends she doesn’t know where she would have ended up. 

It wasn’t an easy road, but Bianca was able to fulfill her dreams of becoming a professional dancer. She has been a backup dancer for some of the biggest acts in the world and is only back at Lake Grimstone for some much-needed downtime.  Seeing the world is great, but there is nothing like coming back home and being able to just unwind.
