Natasha’s eyes met Rosalie’s with a mixed look of fear, shock, and embarrassment. She nodded slowly in response to the question, not overly confident in the answer herself. “Are you okay? Can you still hear?” Her voice wasn’t much louder than a whisper but her frustration was entirely lost. She meant to direct the question to the barista and Rosalie but doubted the barista could hear her. “Not that my voice is a good gauge for an auditory test but, I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
The woman quickly nodded and gave Nat a reassuring smile. “I’m okay, I’m okay don’t worry.” Rosalie’s ears had felt a little uncomfortable but nothing she couldn’t handle or that hadn’t faded away a few seconds after the scream stopped. “Are you though?” She looked at the woman in front of her and recognized the face of exhaustion. What was her reason, Rosalie wondered. “Do you want us to get the coffee and step outside so you can....talk a bit better? You know just to avoid more glass breaking?”
kristenxparrish:
“Weirder things have happened.” Kristen said with a smile as she opened the cooler. She tilted her head, her long hair cascading over her shoulder as she reached into the ice and grabbed some jack daniels and a bottle of coke. “This will have to do, I suppose.” She let out a sigh, as if this wasn’t what she was thinking of drinking.
She moved towards one of the side tables that had the cups and began pouring her drink. “Would you like one?” She asked, glancing towards the girl with a curious smile.
“True….” Rosalie commented with a tilt of her head and released the shadows she had under her control. Looking up at Kristen and glancing at cups, the mimicker nodded. “Yeah, one would be nice. Unless your plan was to finish it all by yourself. Which, in that case, don’t worry about me.” She joked, a smile now growing on her face.

Natasha’s throat felt raw and sore in a way she had never known possible. They had been pushing her exceptionally hard the past few weeks to take her power - her scream, farther and farther until she left the training facility as she did today: croaky and light headed. With heavy limbs, she pushed her way into the coffee shop in search of something warm with honey. When it was her turn at the counter, Nat was frustrated to find that she had no voice and could produce no sound no matter how hard she tried. She opened her mouth and closed it twice, brow furrowed as she swallowed thickly and tried again, pushing hard at her vocal chords to produce a whisper, only this time she produced a powerful sound. To her horror, a tiny wail rose from her throat, small but strong enough to shatter the glasses behind the counte. Natasha covered her mouth in shock, mouthing an apology to the barista. “I’m so sorry.” She croaked, looking around to the person next to her, avoiding their gaze.
Rosalie Moore yawned as she stepped into the coffee shop and ran a hand through her hair. Man am I tired, she thought and rubbed her eyes trying to remain awake. The shadow mimicker had made the mistake of staying out too late last night and getting up even at this hour was hard for the woman. Waiting quietly next to the person next to her, her eyes and ears caught what happened with the glass. Eyes widening, Rosalie looked from the broken glass to Nat and then around at the shop wondering who else heard the sound. Swallowing hard, Rosalie looked back at the woman and made sure to catch her eyes as she gently asked, “Hey...it’s okay. It was an accident. A-are you okay?”

It would’ve been a crime if Katherine didn’t take the opportunity to have some fun while the rides were still around, now wouldn’t it? Granted, it wasn’t the most fun activity, but she had nothing better to do that day, and quite frankly, she was feeling rather restless. Quickly jumping into the bumping car, she buckled up and once the car started, she gripped onto the steering wheel; brows furrowed and gaze extremely focused on her target, “I crashed my Volvo like ten times, I’m extremely good at this, it’s totally my forte.” She chuckled. She was extremely competitive, and she’d be damned if she didn’t win that round. Was there even a price? Probably not, but that didn’t matter now. She slammed the front of the car into the other, before sticking her tongue out, “At least try to make this a little harder for me. It’s not fun this way.”
Rosalie was enjoying herself at the festival and looking forward to trying out new rides. Or all the rides Rosalie, she thought to herself laughing and smiling as she popped another piece of cotton candy in her mouth passing by the Bumper Cars game. Seeing that it was about to start, Rosalie decided to sit this game out and looked at the other residents preparing themselves and soon enough the game began. Laughing and smiling at those around her, along with the others in the crowd, they watched the “bumping.” Rosalie’s ears heard a familiar voice and of course the competitiveness behind it. Smirking and narrowing her eyes at her car, Rosalie titled her head as she playfully surrounded Kat’s car with shadows to make it pure darkness around her. Sure Kat could still move her car but she would be “driving” blind. Have fun now.
the-one-and-the-same:
How did she get down here again? However it was, she is stood in front of the Tilt-a-whirl arms on her hip “If we go on there my hair gonna get ruined, can’t you find another ride.” she said nodding towards a different ride, Valentina was not going to ruin her hair for anyone.
Rosalie laughed at the woman reaction and smiled. “You do know that this event tends to get messy no matter what way you look at it right? Messy hair should be the least of your worries.” The shadow mimicker continued to laugh and shake her head to mess up her own hair. “Come on! It’ll be fun!”

Life at Park suited Harley just fine, he slept through most of the day for his work at the club at night. It was rare he had a night off, but this was one of his few and he was making sure to use it in style. “Well aren’t you a sight for sore eyes? Care to join me for a drink?” He asked the other, smirking as he loitered by Prohibition’s doors. That was where he tended to start; sometimes he ended up in Rendezvous, but he didn’t want to embarrass himself in front of his colleagues.
Rosalie whisked the shadows back and forth between her hands as she walked down the streets and lifted her eyes at the sound of a familiar voice. Smiling back at Harley, her mind made the shadows return to their proper places and answered, “It’s been a while Harley but yeah I’d love a drink! Where’d you have mind?”
miles--hall:
Miles had just finished training and was on his way to Grimstone Park. Sure his time was up, but he had a guy that allowed him to leave Point, of course he had to give him a little cash but it was well worth it. It seemed like someone had the same idea that Miles did, the sneaking out thing. “Coming or going?” He asked the person as he got closer to them.
Rosalie had enjoyed her time at Point with a few of her friends but she had decided to call it an early “night” on that side and wanted to remain the rest of the night on her side. Being careful with those around her, she took one of her routes back into Park and saw another person doing the same. Chuckling softly, the shadow mimicker replied, “Returning actually...and you’re deciding to go I see?”
theodorecphd:
Grimstone Point’s waterfront area was his favorite part of the town. It reminded him of bays in cities outside. Moving to Grimstone Point for his research had only made sense, but the biggest draw back lately had been that he missed visiting other places. Still, for now, the waterfront would have to do. “Nice out today, isn’t it?” he said to the person sitting nearest him. He dug his notebook out of his bag and then froze. “I’m not a creep or anything. I’m just taking notes on you for scientific reasons.” He was trying to explain himself but, as was so often the case, it came out all wrong.
Rosalie Moore was taking some time off from training her powers and doing her best to keep them under control. That’s what led her to the waterfront to clear her mind and ignore the unsettling feeling she had in her stomach. With a sketchbook on her lap, she doodled until she heard a voice speak and smiled softly at the man next to her. “Yeah, it really is....” Her dark hues looked back to the water and would have completely ignored the person next to her until she heard his next words. Frowning a bit, she looked at his notebook and pen and then raised her eyebrows. “Uh...I don’t think there’s much you’re going to get here with me sitting with a sketchbook. Wouldn’t taking note of someone in a training room be more useful?”
kristenxparrish:
Kristen had just returned to the town by the skin of her teeth. It frustrated her that she had a time restriction on how long she could stay out of the town, and the fact that she couldn’t use her power on the outside. She may be able to get to the movie sets much quicker if she was allowed to. But, she supposed that she should be appreciative that she could leave Grimstone Park at all. Even if she was only allotted thirty-two hours a month.
She waited for the guard to unlock her negation bracelet before she shook out her wrist and began walking towards the town. There weren’t many places for her to choose to spend her time. It was mostly just clubs and bars. But Kristen didn’t mind. She moved towards one of the scooter stations, payed, and grabbed one of the scooters. She held on tight as she zoomed through the seemingly dead town, towards the hangout.
As she pulled up to the assortment of shipping containers that were stacked on top of one another to create its own attractive aesthetic, she stopped the scooter and got off. “Please don’t tell me that we don’t have alcohol and I should have stopped by the store on the way here.” Kristen groaned at the person nearest her as she walked towards one of the coolers.
Rosalie Moore needed some fresh air and time away from her house. Alone time, she thought silently and moved the shadows with her hand as she walked. Her eyes went from one side of the street to the next until she found a spot that only had a car that was unloading goods. Sitting across from the truck, she sat down on one of the empty boxes and looked down at her hands as the shadows moved between them.
It wasn’t until she heard another woman’s voice as the employee about alcohol that Rosalie looked up and laughed a little. “I doubt that’s the case...they know better then to leave us Park residents without alcohol. I bet it’s the first thing on their list when they go get supplies.” She teased with a smile.
