Pairing: Idol!Jeon Jungkook x Fem fangirl!Reader
Summary: Jungkook always knew getting involved with a fan would end badly. Maybe that was exactly why he let himself fall so hard. And you did too. Three years of hidden dinners, stolen kisses backstage, and laughter shared just outside the frame of his livestreams. Three years of loving each other in ways that were never supposed to happen. Until one careless mistake exposed everything. Overnight, your secret became headlines. And with the world turning against you, the company left only one option: Cut all contact.
Warnings: Realistic themes involving anxiety, depressive behavior, social anxiety, impulsive behavior, emotional dependency, unhealthy coping mechanisms, alcohol-influenced decisions, self-destructive actions, angst, and eventual smut. Features morally messy characters, toxic attachment, public pressure, and the emotional consequences of fame, hate, heartbreak and bad words.
Chapters: One;
By the time you leave work, your head already feels like it’s been split open and left to echo.
It wasn’t even a particularly loud day and that was the worst part. Just small things.
Your boss calling your name a little too sharply in meetings. Comments that lingered a second longer than necessary. The way he kept mentioning “professional image” without ever actually saying your name, but making sure everyone in the room knew who he meant.
You did. Actually, everyone did.
Six months.
It had been six months since everything with Jungkook had exploded into the public, and somehow the aftermath still hadn’t stopped bleeding into your life.
People didn’t forget. They just learned how to look at you differently. And at work, that difference had weight.
By the time you clock out, your shoulders feel like they’re carrying something you can’t put down.
The air outside is cooler, sharper, but it doesn’t reset anything. You walk without really deciding where you’re going at first. Just movement. Just escape.
As you walk towards the bus stop, you feel your phone buzz. You don’t even need to look. But you do.
Another headline. Another rumor. Another girl.
Another “possible girlfriend.”
“JUNGKOOK’S NEW GIRLFRIEND SERIOUS THIS TIME??”, the article said.
You let out a breath that almost turns into a laugh, but it breaks halfway.
“Right,” you mutter under your breath. “Of course.”
Your grip tightens around your bag strap, and for a moment you just stand there on the sidewalk while people pass you like you’re part of the background.
A bar isn’t a decision so much as a collapse into one.
It’s dim inside, warm in a sticky, heavy way that clings to your skin immediately. Music pulses low through the floor, and the smell of alcohol and fried food mixes into something that makes your stomach turn slightly before you even sit down.
You order something strong and fast.
The first drink goes down too easily. The second doesn’t taste like much at all.
By the third, your thoughts stop lining up properly.
The world becomes softer at the edges.
A little slower, little quieter.
You’re aware of people around you. Glances sliding your way, curiosity sharpening into recognition.
It always starts the same.
A look, whispers.
“…wait, isn’t that—?”
You hear it, even if you don’t fully turn your head.
Someone definitely recognizes you. A small, uncomfortable laugh follows. “She’s that girl, right? From—”
You stand up before the sentence finishes. Not because you’re angry. Because you’re tired of all that shit.
“Yeah, okay,” you say under your breath as you take 30 dollar in bills from your wallet and place it on the table, grabbing your bag. “Great.” The night air outside hits harder this time. A lot colder than it should be. Almost cruel in how clear it feels after the bar’s blur.
You don’t want to go home. You don’t really think about it. About the bad things that happened with you and him.
Your feet take you somewhere else instead. Somewhere they remember even when you don’t want them to.
A place you and Jungkook used to come to without planning it. Not a date spot. Not something you ever named. Just somewhere quiet enough that the world didn’t feel so loud for a while. A hill overlooking the city.
From here, Seoul spreads out in lights. Gold, white, distant reds blinking. The skyline feels endless. Like it could swallow everything you’ve ever felt and never notice.
You sit down on the bench without thinking and your body finally gives in a little.
Why the fuck does this happened to me? you think for the 10th time today. No matter how much you pray, it feels like no one is listening. The fucking universe never seems to be on your side.
By the time that the alcohol makes your head heavier than your thoughts, you pull your phone out slowly.
Opening your Spotify app, you scroll to your most-played song. The one you always put on when you miss Jungkook too much. Pressing play, you let your body relax as you close your eyes and take a deep breath.
Still With You is now playing.
His voice fills the space almost immediately soft.
Familiar in a way that makes your chest tighten before you can stop it.
You lean back against the bench, eyes half-lidded now, watching the city blur slightly at the edges as the song plays through your earbuds.
It doesn’t feel real anymore. None of it doe, actually. The music wraps around you like something warm you’re not supposed to have anymore.
Your eyelids feel heavier with every passing second, the alcohol still warm in your system, blurring the edges of your thoughts until they stop forming properly. There’s no clear decision to close your eyes. No final thought that ties anything together.

When you wake up, it’s only 40 minutes later, but the sky has that washed-out in-between color that makes everything feel later than it is. Your head aches.
Your body feels too light and too heavy at the same time. You blink a few times, confused, still half stuck between sleep and reality. Then you notice something it wasn’t there before.
A small plastic convenience store bag sitting neatly beside you on the bench. Inside: water, hangover pills, some snacks, your favorite snacks.
You stare at it. Trying ti understand.
“…did I buy this?” you murmur hoarsely, even though there’s no one around to answer. Your hand hesitates before touching it.
And somewhere deep down, a quiet thought slips in.
You know it couldn’t be him, he can’t even be near you.
The city feels quieter on the way home, or maybe it’s just you who stopped paying attention to it.
Your steps are slower now, heavier in a way that has nothing to do with alcohol anymore. The buzz has faded into something dull and distant, leaving only the aftertaste of exhaustion and that familiar emptiness pressing gently behind your ribs.
You keep your eyes on the ground most of the walk.
It’s easier that way. Less chance of seeing someone who might recognize you. Less chance of being reminded of anything you don’t have the energy to feel properly tonight.a
By the time you reach your apartment, the world feels far away again. Like you’ve been walking through a version of it that doesn’t fully belong to you.
Inside, the silence is immediate.
You close the door behind you and stand there for a moment, still wearing your coat, bag slipping off your shoulder slowly as if your body forgot how to coordinate properly. You move on autopilot.
Shoes off.
Phone somewhere on the counter, face-down like it could still do something to you if you looked at it too long.
The bathroom light is too bright when you turn it on.
You stare at your reflection for a second. Long enough to register tired eyes, slightly flushed skin, hair not quite in place anymore.
You don’t think about anything in particular while you brush your teeth. Or maybe, you think about everything at once, and it cancels itself out into silence.
When you finally get into bed, the sheets are cold at first. You pull them over your shoulders and turn onto your side without checking the time.
Sleep comes quickly like your body has been waiting for permission to rest for a few hours.

Summary: After missing BTS’s comeback show due to a delayed flight, you drown your disappointment in soju at a quiet restaurant, only for the universe to make you cross paths with Jungkook himself. You’re completely drunk, face to face with your idol. Of all the people who could have appeared after who knows how many bottles of soju of soju… it’s him. Suddenly, your worst night might turn your whole trip into something unforgettable.
Warnings: Eventual smut (maybe), fluff, angst if you squint, crack, bad decisions fueled by alcohol, a lot of fangirling, accidental soulmate behavior, and unfunny/dark topics.
Chapters: Intro; One; Two; ?:
He glanced at you again, his dark eyes sparkling with a new kind of curiosity, the kind that made your stomach do a slow, dizzying roll.
He tapped his fingers lightly against the steering wheel, stealing another glance at you. This time, it lingered for a little more.
“So,” he said, voice quieter now, amused but genuinely interested, “in these stories… do I at least have a cool car? Or am I still driving around rescuing drunk strangers at 2 AM?”
“Come on, you drive a Mercedes. You know that’s a cool car, right?” you teased, your tone light as you turned your head from where it rested against the headrest to look at him.
It was still hard to believe that Jeon Jungkook was giving you a ride to the hospital. A place you definitely would not have needed to visit if you hadn’t managed to smash your head against the sharp corner of a table hard enough to probably leave a crater on your forehead.
A quiet laugh slipped past Jungkook’s lips, subtle but impossible to miss. His big boba dark eyes stayed fixed on the road while the city lights reflected softly against his face. Pink lips, perfectly shaped, the silver piercing caught between his teeth every other minute like a nervous habit.
Unnoticed by either of you. Maybe because of the late hour, the quiet hum of the city outside, or the warmth filling the car. Or something called TimeZone, sleep eventually won, your eyes fluttering shut as you drifted into a brief doze.
“Hey, you can’t fall asleep after hitting your head like that.” Jungkook glanced at you from the corner of his eye, nudging your shoulder lightly.
“Why you say that?” you asked, sitting up a little straighter in your seat as you looked at him shyly.
“Imo told me that if you fall asleep after a bad hit to the head, you never wake up again,” he replied, never taking his eyes off the road. “Just wait a few more minutes. We’re almost there.”
“That’s just a dumb superstition,” you said before immediately regretting it. Would he get annoyed at you? You couldn’t upset Jeon Jungkook.
“Maybe,” he answered with a shrug, a small grin tugging at his lips, “but I’d rather not risk someone dying in the passenger seat of my car.”
“Fair enough. I won’t give you that kind of trouble,” you laughed softly. “I’ll save dying for when we get there.”
“Don’t say stuff like that.” His tone turned serious for a second, though the warmth in it never disappeared.
⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ᰔ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹
The hospital parking lot was not full, the darkness of the night broken only by the pale glow of streetlights.
“Thank you. Really, thank you so much,” you said emotionally as you stepped out of the car. “I’m genuinely such a huge fan, and I really appreciate you bringing me here, sir.” You don’t know why you called him sir, he was only 3 years order, but it felt right.
Jeon Jungkook stayed quiet, although he didn’t liked to be called “sir” by a fan.
When you turned around and started walking toward the hospital entrance a few meters away, you suddenly heard a car door shut behind you, followed by the soft beep of the vehicle locking.
You looked back.
Jungkook stood there in a black cap pulled low over his face.
You froze for a second.
Not that you hadn’t spent the last thirty minutes beside him already, but this felt different somehow.
Every interaction with him since the moment you first recognized him made you want to cry, scream, jump around, and hug him all at once. But thanks to countless TikTok videos about invasive fans, you knew better than to do anything weird. So you tried your hardest to act normal despite being exhausted, drunk, and completely overwhelmed.
“Can you really come in here? What if people recognize you?” you asked as he approached, stopping close enough for his arm to brush against yours.
“I already handled that. Come on.” He gently grabbed your arm. “You’re walking in zigzags. It’d be even worse if you fall with your face, hit the ground and have a couple of teeth broken.” He joked.
His grip was firm but careful as he guided you toward the entrance.
The second you stepped inside, the sharp scent of disinfectant and the freezing hospital air filled your senses. While Jungkook walked off to speak with one of the doctors, you sat awkwardly in the waiting room. The staff barely reacted to him, which somehow told you this wasn’t his first time here.
“You’re the young woman accompanying Mr. Jeon, correct?” A nurse approached holding a clipboard.
Hearing his name spoken out loud immediately filled your face with confusion. As if sensing it, Jungkook walked closer and simply nodded. “A-ah… yes?” you answered uncertainly.
“Alright, come with me.” The nurse smiled politely before leading the way.
“O-oh, okay.” You hurried after her.
Inside a small examination room, you sat on the edge of the bed while the nurse adjusted the light.
An older doctor entered the room, greeting both you and Jungkook. She shook his hand with warmth, like they met before.
“So, you hit your forehead on the edge of a table?” she asked.
“Uh… yeah,” you admitted shyly.
“Did you drink alcohol tonight?” the doctor continued while soaking cotton with antiseptic.
You glanced at Jungkook in embarrassment. “Yes… a few bottles of soju.”
“How many exactly?” she asked while gently pressing the cotton against the cut.
“Honestly… I don’t know.” You gripped the bedsheet from the sting, letting out a quiet whine of pain.
“Since you’ve been drinking, I’d rather keep you under observation with IV fluids, hydration, and pain medication,” the doctor explained while placing a small bandage over your forehead.
Your eyes widened instantly. “IV? Like… needles?” you asked in horror.
“Yes, intravenous fluids,” she replied casually while writing down the prescription. “The nurse will be here shortly.”
The doctor left the room, leaving only you and Jungkook behind. He stood leaning against the wall, scrolling through his phone.
“Uh… okay, how do I say this…” you called his attention hesitantly. “Mr. Jungkook—”
“You know who I am already. Just call me Jungkook,” he interrupted softly.
“Jungkook, I can’t pay for this. And I am definitely not getting stabbed with a needle.”
“I’ll cover it, obviously. And yes, you are getting it if the doctor prescribed it.” He looked genuinely confused by your stubbornness.
“It’s just… I’m scared of needles,” you admitted quietly.
The salmon-pink blush spreading across your cheeks amused him instantly.
“You don’t have to be scared. I’ll stay here with you.” He lifted the brim of his cap slightly, revealing a comforting smile and eyes that somehow shined brighter than the stars outside.
You froze again.
He was somehow even more beautiful in person.
A nurse soon entered the room carrying the supplies.
After a long amount of stalling and nervous complaining from you, Jungkook finally walked over and stood beside the bed.
“Hey, I already told you. Relax,” he said gently, one hand resting on your shoulder.
Taking a deep breath, you squeezed your eyes shut as the nurse inserted the needle into your arm, a small tear slipping down your cheek almost immediately.
“See? That barely hurt,” the nurse said with a kind smile.
“Yeah, sure,” A single tear falls down your left cheek.
After adjusting the IV and organizing the room, she quietly left.
Now it was just the two of you again.
When your hoodie had been removed earlier for the IV, left your bare arm exposed along with the small Love Yourself heart tattoo resting against your skin.
Just as your eyes started closing, Jungkook suddenly spoke.
“Is that the Love Yourself heart?” He was looking directly at your arm now.
“You hid it well at first.,” he commented while sitting down beside you.
“Well… I didn’t want you to think I was crazy,” you admitted, cheeks turning pink again.
“I’ve met crazy fans before,” he said with a small laugh. “People tried to break into my house, tried kissing me, even pulled on my clothes.” He glanced at you briefly. “Trust me, you’re not crazy.”
“Well… I’m glad to know I’m not crazy then,” you smiled.
“But why would you tattoo this?” he asked curiously. “It’s honestly intriguing to me. Can someone really inspire people that much?”
You let out a soft laugh.
“Well… this is kind of embarrassing.” You sighed quietly. “I found BTS when I was fifteen. It was a really difficult time for me. I was bullied basically my whole childhood, and right when changing schools finally made things better… my parents got divorced.”
Your voice softened.
“It was really hard for me back then. And then I found BTS.”
Jungkook listened silently.
“At first I thought it was just a phase. Something temporary.” You smiled faintly. “But it never passed. Every day I kept following BTS more and more. Honestly… I don’t think anyone helped me as much as you guys did.”
You finally said it out loud.
You hadn’t realized how heavy those feelings still were inside your chest.
“It’s crazy, helping someone you’ve never even met,” Jungkook said quietly. “I’m really happy. Genuinely happy. That you’re doing okay now.”
He smiled shyly.
“And honestly, I don’t think me and the boys could’ve made it this far without you or the other ARMYs either. We all have highs and lows.” His eyes softened as he looked at you. “I’m really glad we could help you through one of your lows.”
For a moment, it felt like you were fifteen again, hearing the exact words you once desperately needed to hear. Except now they were coming from one of the peoples you admired most.
The room smelled faintly like antiseptic and laundry detergent.
One of the ceiling lights had been turned off at some point, leaving only the warmer lamp near the sink illuminating the room in a soft yellow glow. Outside the door, you could still hear the occasional murmur of nurses talking quietly to each other as they passed through the hallway.
You were exhausted.
The adrenaline from meeting Jungkook was slowly losing the fight against the alcohol, the medication, and the fact that you had basically traveled across the planet in less than twenty-four hours.
Still, every time your eyes closed for more than a few seconds, your brain jolted awake again.
Because Jeon Jungkook was sitting three feet away from you in a hospital chair. Like… physically there.
It was genuinely difficult to process.
He had slouched down lower in the chair over time, one leg stretched out while the other stayed bent. His black hoodie looked soft and oversized now that he’d taken the jacket off, and the sleeves were pushed up slightly past his wrists, exposing the tattoos running along his arm whenever he scrolled on his phone.
He looked tired.
The kind where his posture loosened naturally and his eyes blinked slower than before.
Every now and then, he’d rub at one eye with the sleeve of his hoodie before looking back down at his phone again.
Your gaze stayed on him too long.
Again.
Without looking up, he spoke. “You do that a lot.”
Your stomach dropped instantly.“…Do what?”
“Stare.”
You immediately looked away like you’d been caught committing a crime. “I wasn’t staring.”
“You were literally zoning out looking directly at me.” Heat rushed into your face.
“I’m just trying to process this.” That finally made him look up from his phone.
“Process what?”
You stared at him like the answer should’ve been obvious. “This…You…The situation.”
Jungkook blinked once. Then the corner of his mouth lifted slightly.“…That sounds kind of ominous.”
“I’m serious,” you insisted quietly. “This is weird.”
“Weird for you?” he asked.
“Yes!”
He let out a soft laugh through his nose, shaking his head a little before locking his phone and tossing it onto his lap. “I promise I’m just a person.”
“No, see, that’s the problem,” you said immediately. “You don’t seem real.”
The words slipped out before you could stop them.
Jungkook looked at you differently after that. His expression softening a little around the edges, like he suddenly understood exactly what you meant.
“I get that a lot,” he admitted quietly.
Your chest tightened unexpectedly.
Even his voice sounded softer at this hour.
You pulled the blanket higher over yourself awkwardly. “Sorry. That probably sounded insane.”
“No,” he said quickly. “It didn’t.”
He leaned back further into the chair, tilting his head slightly as he looked at you. “I think sometimes people forget I’m also trying to process stuff too.”
You blinked. “What do you mean?”
He shrugged one shoulder casually, though his eyes drifted down toward his rings for a second.
“I don’t know. It’s weird for me too sometimes.” A small laugh escaped him. “Like… people know everything about me. Or at least the version they see online.” He glanced back at you. “But I know literally nothing about them.”
Something about the way he said it felt strangely honest.
You studied him quietly for a moment.
The messy hair. The sleepy eyes. The way his fingers absentmindedly played with the edge of his sleeve while he talked. He really did just feel like a guy right now.
A very, very pretty guy. Unfortunately, your mouth moved before your brain could stop it.
“You’re even prettier in person.”
Silence.
Absolute silence.
Jungkook stared at you. And you stared back in immediate horror.
“Oh my God,” you whispered, covering your face with both hands. “Please pretend I didn’t say that.”
A laugh escaped him instantly. His shoulders shook slightly while he ducked his head down, rubbing his hand over his mouth. “You say literally every thought that enters your brain, huh?”
“I’m sleep deprived.” You said.
“And drunk.” He completed.
“That too.” You groaned into your hands. “This is the worst moment of my life.”
“No, it’s definitely not,” he said immediately, still laughing a little.
You slowly lowered your hands just enough to peek at him.
He was smiling now. The kind that reached his eyes first.
Your heart did something deeply embarrassing.
“You know,” he said after a moment, “most people get quieter around me.”
“That sounds fake.”
“It’s true.”
“I physically can’t get quieter,” you admitted.
“Yeah, I noticed.”
You buried your face back into the blanket.
Jungkook tilted his head slightly, watching you for a second before speaking again. “I don’t think you understand how ‘weird’ this is.”
You looked up again. “Hm?”
He shrugged. “Well…you’re acting normal.”
You almost laughed. “I have cried four times tonight.”
“Exactly.”
“I almost threw up in your car.”
“You didn’t though.”
“I have tteokbokki stains on my hoodie.”
“That one’s embarrassing , yeah.”
You snorted despite yourself. And it became weirdly easy talking to him. You were not trembling or crying anymore. THANK GOD.
Like the surrealness faded just enough for your body to stop being so tense.
Jungkook noticed immediately.
You could tell by the way his posture relaxed too.
He picked his phone back up eventually, scrolling aimlessly for a few seconds before speaking again without looking at you. “You really worked three jobs for this trip?”
Your expression softened immediately.“…Yeah.”
“What jobs?”
You let out a small embarrassed laugh. “Well… I’m a biomedicine graduate. I finished university recently.”
His eyebrows lifted instantly. “Wait, seriously?”
You nodded shyly. “Mhm. I’m doing an part-time job as a waitress and cashier at starbucks right now.”
“That already sounds stressful.”
“It is,” you admitted with a tired laugh. “The pay isn’t exactly amazing yet either, but it helped me a lot.”
Jungkook hummed quietly, listening carefully.
“So during the week I worked at the lab, and at evening i work as a waitress. Then, at weekends i work as a cashier…”
He stared at you for a second.
By the end of it, he let out a quiet breath through his nose, shaking his head slightly. “That’s actually insane.”
You laughed softly. “Good insane or concerning insane?”
“A little both.” He paused,“…Thank you.”
You frowned slightly. “For what?”
He looked genuinely shy for the first time all night.
“For loving BTS that much.” His voice came out quieter now. “Seriously.”
Your chest tightened so hard it almost hurt.
Jungkook looked down immediately after saying it, thumb rubbing awkwardly against one of the rings on his fingers like he suddenly felt embarrassed for being sincere. Then he leaned back deeper into the chair, stretching one arm over his head tiredly. The sleeve of his hoodie pulled up slightly, exposing more of the tattoos running along his forearm.
“You know,” he said after a moment, voice quieter now, “sometimes I still get confused when people say stuff like that.”
You tilted your head slightly. “Like what?”
“That we helped them.” His gaze drifted toward the floor again briefly. “I mean… I know music can comfort people obviously, but hearing someone say we genuinely got them through something…” He shook his head once. “It’s hard to fully understand.”
Your expression softened. “You did though.” You sigh, “For a lot of people.”
Jungkook looked back at you silently.
“When things were really bad for me,” you admitted quietly, “BTS was the only thing I consistently looked forward to.”
The room grew still again. You swallowed awkwardly, suddenly hyperaware of how vulnerable you sounded.
“I know people say idols saved them all the time online and it probably sounds dramatic,” you continued softly, “but… sometimes having something to hold onto changes everything.”
Then he leaned forward slightly in the chair, resting his forearms against his knees. “That’s scary, you know.”
You blinked. “What is?”
He smiled faintly. “The idea that something I say or do could affect someone that much.” He rubbed his hands together absentmindedly. “Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing enough to deserve that kind of love.”
Your heart genuinely hurt hearing that. Maybe because for the first time that night, he didn’t sound like Jungkook from BTS. He just sounded like a twenty-something-year-old guy carrying way too much pressure on his shoulders.
“You don’t have to earn being loved,” you said quietly.
leaned back again, eyes drifting toward the ceiling.
“See?” he muttered after a moment. “That’s exactly the kind of thing I mean.”
You frowned slightly. “What?”
“You say stuff like it’s obvious.”
“Well… isn’t it?”
He glanced back at you, one eyebrow lifting a little like he wasn’t fully convinced.
“I don’t know,” he admitted honestly. “Maybe for you.”
You watched him for a second before speaking again.
“I think people get too used to treating celebrities like products,” you said quietly. “Like if you stop performing perfectly for two seconds, suddenly people think you failed them somehow.”
Jungkook gave a soft hum of agreement at that, gaze lowering again.
“And I think fans forget idols are just people too,” you added. “You guys can be talented and comforting and important to people without having to live how they want it.”
“You know,” he said quietly, “this is probably the strangest night I’ve had in a long time.”
A tired laugh escaped you. “You and me both.”
Jungkook smiled a little at that. It was so good seeing him laugh at something that you said.
Your eyes suddenly widened in realization . “Oh my God.”
Jungkook looked up immediately. “What?”
“I never texted my family.” The words came out horrified.
You grabbed your phone from beside the pillow so fast the IV line tugged slightly against your arm, causing you to whine and rub your arm.
“I traveled to another country and basically disappeared for like twelve hours,” you said, panic rising in your voice. “My mom is actually going to think I died.”
Jungkook blinked once. “…Okay, yeah, that’s bad.”
“She was already nervous about me traveling alone!” you continued, unlocking your phone frantically. “Oh my God, she’s probably awake right now.”
Jungkook sat up straighter instantly as realization hit him too. “Wait.”
You looked up.
“You cannot tell them you’re with me.”
You stared at him. “…What?.”
“I’m serious.”
You tried not to laugh at how genuinely alarmed he suddenly looked.
“If your family tells someone, and then someone posts it somewhere, and then somehow it spreads—”
“My mother barely knows how to post on Facebook.”
“That’s not the point.”
“She sees A.I puppies dancing and asks me if they’re real.”
That finally made him crack a smile.
Still, he leaned forward slightly, lowering his voice instinctively. “Just… maybe leave me out of the story.”
You snorted softly.
“So what am I supposed to say? ‘Hey mom, sorry I vanished after landing in Korea. I got drunk, hit my head on a table, and a mysterious man drove me to the hospital’?”
Jungkook pointed at you immediately. “Absolutely not the mysterious man part.”
You laughed despite yourself. “Relax. I’m not exposing you to my mother.”
“She could accidentally post it.” He says.
“She believes BTS is a clothing brand.’”
Jungkook physically covered his face for a second, laughing quietly. “Okay, that’s actually better, but you can’t.”
You quickly started typing your message while mumbling under your breath. “‘Hi mom, sorry for disappearing, my flight got delayed, I missed check-in, then I got dizzy after drinking and ended up at the hospital—’”
Jungkook’s eyes widened. “Maybe don’t include the drinking part either.”
“What? Why?”
“Because then I sound irresponsible.”
“You ARE irresponsible. You let a concussed drunk girl into your car.”
“Actually, YOU are irresponsible. How come you go to a foreign country and drink your ass off, then hit your head on a table.”
“That is not the point.”
“It is actually.” He says, putting a hand on your arm. “Just tell her you had a headache or something.” He leaned in slightly. “Or do I need to make you sign an NDA?”
You stared at him for a second before letting out a shy laugh. “What?.”
“I’m serious,” he said, though the grin pulling at the corner of his mouth completely ruined the effect. “One tweet about it and my company’s dragging me into a six-hour meeting tomorrow.”
“You think I’d expose you after you literally carried me into a hospital?”
“You’d be surprised what people do for clout.” The teasing in his voice softened the sentence, but there was still something honest underneath it.
In a way, you understood why he was acting like this. You and Jungkook had met, what, two hours ago? So… okay. Fair enough.
Considering the kind of experiences he’d probably had with strangers before, it made sense for him to be cautious.
Still, you couldn’t help feeling a tiny sting in your chest “I’m not going to do that,” you called out.
There was a brief silence.
“I know.” The sincerity in his tone caught you off guard.
You really wanted to tell your mom everything. Every insane, unbelievable detail. But one look at those worried eyes had completely destroyed your ability to say no to him.
So, instead of telling the whole story, you only said you were delayed and were waiting for the check in time. Which has passed 1 hour ago, and you did not realized that.

Pairing: fem!fangirl reader x idol!jeon jungkook.
PLS bear with me, I wrote this after thinking way too far because of BTS tickets.
Chapters: Intro; One; ?:
You had counted every coin like it was a precious diamond.
Weeks turned into months, small sacrifices stacking quietly until they became something tangible: a dream. An international trip. Your first. And somehow, impossibly, it was South Korea. It wasn't an unusual destination, not really. Plenty of people went. But for you, it felt like stepping into a world you had only ever touched through screens and subtitles. You wanted everything. The food that steamed in late-night vlogs, the neon streets, and the language that danced just out of reach of your tongue.
And, of course, the music.
K-pop wasn’t just background noise to you; it was stitched into your routines, your moods, your worst days and your best ones. So when you found out about the free comeback concert—BTS, live, in Seoul—it felt like fate knocking politely and then immediately sprinting away.
The universe, it seemed, had other plans.
Your flight wasn’t just delayed; it was sabotaged by the cosmos. By the time you finally landed and dragged your suitcase through the thick, unfamiliar air, the show was over. You had missed the fucking concert.
Since you had missed your original check-in time, the hotel told you they wouldn't have a room ready until 3:00 AM. So, you did what any reasonable, heartbroken, jet-lagged person would do: you went looking for a place to hide. If you couldn’t scream lyrics in a crowd, you’d drown the disappointment in something spicy enough to burn the sadness out of you.
After a desperate search on TikTok, you found a hole-in-the-wall restaurant about ninety minutes away from Gwanghwamun. The journey was a nightmare—Ubers were so expensive, and you had to navigate the labyrinth of the metro since the buses had stopped running by this hour.
The restaurant didn’t look like much from the outside. It was hidden, tucked away in an alleyway that felt like a secret. Inside, though, it was warm. Soft yellow lights pooled over wooden tables, a gentle glow.
“Good evening,” a voice pulled you out of your thoughts. An older woman stood behind the counter, smiling gently. The owner, you assumed.
“Good evening, ma’am,” you replied, forcing a smile that didn't reach your eyes. It felt more like a grimace. God, you just wanted to disappear.
The menu smelled faintly of paper and old spice. You knew a little Korean, but staring at the stylized script with tired eyes was useless. You looked up at the woman. “Do you have alcohol? And something to eat while I drink?”
“Oh, yes! I have spicy fried chicken,” she pointed to the menu. “To drink, I have soju or soda.”
“Amazing. I’ll have the chicken and a bottle of soju.”
The soju arrived first. It went down too easy. Then came the chicken, and a second bottle, and a third... until the edges of the room began to blur.
By the time the tteokbokki you don’t even remember ordering arrived, you were gone. Your head rested heavily on the cool wood of the table, your hair dipping lazily into the red sauce.
You didn’t even notice when the restaurant door opened.
The bell chimed, a silver sound swallowed by the alcohol-induced fog in your brain.
The owner’s face lit up. “My boy!” she exclaimed, her voice thick with genuine affection.
“Imo,” a deep, melodic voice replied. It was soft, honeyed, and carried the kind of exhaustion.
The man moved with a quiet familiarity, dropping into a stool at the far end of the counter. He pulled off a black bucket hat, revealing damp, dark hair. He looked like he had run a marathon.
“How was today?” the old woman whispered, sliding a glass of water toward him.
"Perfect," he murmured, a small, tired smile tugging at his lips. "But Im so hungry, Imo."
The woman’s eyes drifted toward you—the only other person in the shop—slumped over and radiating a palpable aura of misery. The man followed her gaze. His eyebrows knit together, seeing your passport peeking out from under your arm and the half-empty bottles of soju.
"Honey? Wake up," the old woman said, giving your shoulder a firm but kind shake “drink this. It will help," a voice murmured near your ear.
You groaned, a low, pained sound vibrating in your throat. Your neck was stiff, and your brain felt like it had been scrubbed with sandpaper. Slowly, painfully, you forced your head up from the wooden table. Your vision was a messy kaleidoscope of yellow light and shifting shadows.
You blinked, rubbing your eyes with the back of your hand, inadvertently smearing a bit of tteokbokki sauce across your cheek.
"Wha...?" you slurred, squinting against the soft glow of the lamps.
You felt a cold glass being pressed into your other hand. You blinked, your vision slowly stitching itself back together. The owner was standing over you with a worried expression, offering a glass of ice water. You took a long, shaky sip, the cold liquid cutting through some of the alcohol's taste.
Across the room, a man sat with his back to you. He was hunched over a bowl of steaming noodles, his broad shoulders covered by a baggy black hoodie. He seemed focused on his meal, a silent figure in the quiet restaurant.
Fumbling for your phone, you squint at the bright screen. 2:15 AM. Your hotel check-in was finally approaching. With a heavy groan, you grabbed your bag and pushed yourself up. The world tilted dangerously for a second, but you managed to stay upright.
"I have to pay," you mumbled to yourself, beginning to shamble toward the counter where the old woman was waiting.
As you staggered past the man’s table, your favorite lip gloss—the expensive one you’d bought specifically for this trip—slipped out of your unzipped bag. It hit the floor with a quiet thud, rolling right under the edge of his table. You didn't even notice. You were too busy trying to keep your legs moving in a straight line.
"Wait—excuse me," the man said. His voice was deep, a smooth baritone that felt strangely familiar, like a melody you'd heard a thousand times. "You dropped this." He didn't wait for you to turn around. He leaned down from his chair at the exact same moment you finally realized something was missing and spun back to look.
Both of you lunged for the gloss at the same time.
Your faces ended up inches apart.
The alcohol in your system suddenly felt like it had vanished, replaced by a violent jolt of adrenaline. Up close, without the mask blocking his features, there was no mistaking him. The soft curve of his nose, the piercing in his lip, and those wide, sparkling eyes that looked just as surprised as yours.
It was Jungkook.
Your heart did a frantic somersault. Your brain screamed, but your body decided to malfunction. In your rush to pull back and process the impossible reality that Jeon Jungkook was holding your lip gloss, you jerked upward way too fast.
THWACK.
The sound of your head colliding with the edge of the heavy wooden table echoed through the quiet restaurant.
"Ow! Fuck!” you yelped, the pain blooming white-hot behind your eyes.
The force of the impact sent you reeling backward, and you landed hard on your butt on the floor. The physical pain, combined with the emotional trauma of the missed concert and the sheer, overwhelming embarrassment of falling in front of your celebrity crush, was the breaking point.
You looked up at him, your vision swimming with tears of pain. You looked at his worried face, then at the restaurant owner.
The humiliation was a living, breathing thing, radiating off you in waves as hot as the tteokbokki sauce currently staining your cheek. You were slumped on the floor, one hand clamped over the throbbing knot forming on your head, while the other tried to maintain some semblance of dignity.
Across from you, Jeon Jungkook wasn't looking at you like a god looking down at a mortal. He was looking at you with the squinted, twitchy-nosed expression of someone trying very hard not to lose it.
"That... sounded like it hurt," he said, his voice a low, gravelly hum that vibrated right through your skull. He stayed low, leaning over his knees to get a better look at you. "You okay? Or do I need to call someone?"
You stared at him, your brain short-circuiting. The alcohol was still there, a fuzzy warmth in your veins, but the sheer shock of his face—the real, unedited symmetry of it—was doing a much better job of making you dizzy.
“I-It’s okay,” you croaked, the lie tasting like soju. Your shocked almost popping out eyes stared at jungkook.
"She’s drunk, she looks exhausted, and she just cracked her head on a hardwood table," the gente old lady countered, her voice dropping into that stern, no-nonsense territory.
Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck, his expression shifting into something more conflicted. He glanced at you, then at the darkened windows of the shop. "Imo, I can’t exactly walk into a Seoul emergency room right now. Especially not with a girl. You know how the news works. If someone sees me—"
"You know it’s not good to sleep after a hit like that. What if she has a concussion? You want her to go back to her House alone and not wake up?" the old woman snapped, crossing her arms. "You’re going to let her just 'fend for herself' because you’re famous? She’s can Pay for the food later. Look at her, she can barely hold her own head up."
You, meanwhile, were stuck in a recursive loop of thought. Jungkook. Jungkook is arguing about me. Jeon Jungkook is five feet away and the word 'concussion' is being thrown around. You tried to say you were fine, that you could just walk it off, but all that came out was a soft, pathetic-sounding hum.
Jungkook looked back at you. The sharp, idol-perfect edges of his persona seemed to soften under the weight of actual concern. He sighed, a long, heavy sound that puffed out his cheeks. He knew she was right.
"Okay, okay," he muttered, reaching for his black bucket hat and pulling it low over his eyes. He adjusted his mask, tugging it up until only his eyes were visible—sharp and dark. "I’ll take her to the hospital.”
He stood up, his presence suddenly looming much larger than it had while he was sitting. He stepped toward you, hesitant for a split second before reaching out to steady your arm.
"Can you stand?" he asked, his voice irritated, but you could clearly see he was trying to be gentle. "Keep the ice on your head. We’re going." He Said while gave you a Pack of ice that —Young mi, the old lady— handled to jungkook.
You didn't hear half of their talking. Your head was lolling back slightly, your eyes fixed on him with a glazed, intense focus. As he stepped closer to grab your arm and help you up, you finally found your voice. It was small, shaky, and completely devoid of any filter.
"Wait," you croaked, squinting at him like you were trying to see through a fogged-up window. "I have to... I have to ask. One question."
Jungkook paused, his hand hovering near your elbow. "What? Are you nauseous?"
"No," you slurred, leaning in just a bit too far, your face inches from his. "Are you... are you Jeon Jungkook? Because you really look like him.” It was the alcohool, you swear.
Jungkook sighed, the sound a low vibration near your ear as he braced your weight, ignoring your question. He stood there patiently, waiting for your legs to remember how to function. Every time you swayed, his grip tightened just enough to anchor you. You were essentially a human noodle, and he was the only thing keeping you from a second round with the linoleum floor.
"Head down," he commanded softly, his tone shifting into that focused, 'mission-mode' voice you’d seen in a hundred behind-the-scenes videos.
The cold air snapped at your lungs, but it didn't do much to sober up your brain. If anything, it just made the static louder. You were leaning heavily into him, your feet dragging against the pavement, but your stubbornness was peaking.
"Seriously," you muttered, your voice thick and clumsy. "I don't go into cars with strangers. My mom... she'd kill me. And you're wearing a black hat. That’s suspicious. Very suspicious."
Jungkook let out a dry, huffed breath. He didn't look at you, his eyes darting down the alleyway to make sure the coast was clear, but his grip on your arm was like iron—gentle, but unyielding.
"I'm the one taking a risk here, trust me," he grumbled, though there was a trace of that lopsided, boyish grin hidden underneath his mask. "If a camera catches this, I'm the one who has to explain why I'm kidnapping a girl who smells like a distillery and has tteokbokki sauce on her face."
Ignoring your point again, he led you toward the door, his movements fluid and cautious. As you stepped out into the crisp night air, the chill hit your face, making your head throb with a fresh, sharp pulse. You let out a tiny, pathetic whimper.
“I know, I know,” he murmured, steering you toward a black SUV idling quietly at the end of the alley. “Just a few more steps. Don’t throw up on my shoes, okay? I actually like these.”
For a split second, you saw it—the sharp line of his jaw, the familiar mole under his lip.
Your "drunk alter ego" —That’s how you call when you drink too much— decided to pivot again. As he tried to guide you into the plush leather seat, you planted your feet, swaying dangerously. You pointed a shaky finger at his chest.
"You have... a lot of tattoos," you whispered, your eyes widening as they landed on his hand. "The 'ARMY' one. I know that one. Did you steal that from Jungkook too? You're a very dedicated impersonator."
Jungkook actually paused, his hand on the top of the car door. He looked down at his own hand, then back at you, a look of pure, exhausted disbelief on his face. He looked like he wanted to laugh and cry at the same time
Why him?
Way did the Imo didn’t go to the hospital with you?
He had so many questions.
Jungkook closed his eyes for a long second, letting out a heavy, dramatic sigh. He looked like a man who was fighting a war on two fronts: one against the paparazzi and one against your stubborn, drunken logic.
"Okay, look," he said, finally turning his full attention to you. "Yes. I’m Jeon Jungkook. You knew that five minutes ago when you were crying into your napkins, and im pretty sure you know it now. So let's skip the part where you pretend I'm an impersonator, okay?"
He leaned in a bit closer, his eyes locking onto yours with a weary, playful intensity. "You want an autograph? A photo? Fine. I’ll give you ten once we’re sure your brain isn't leaking. We’re going to be spending a lot of time together in this car and at the hospital anyway, so you might as well save the interrogation for the doctor."
He didn't give you a chance to argue. With a swift, practiced movement, he nudged you into the passenger seat. The leather was cool and smelled like expensive citrus—a stark contrast to the alleyway air.
He dumped all the answers on you at once, leaving you absolutely speechless. Your brain, already struggling with the alcohol and the head trauma, simply gave up. The weight of it all—the fact that it was him, that he was touching your arm, that you were being a total disaster in front of the person you admired most—finally broke the dam.
Your lip started to tremble.
"Oh, no," Jungkook murmured, his eyes widening as he saw your expression crumble. "Wait, don't—"
"I'm so sorry!" you wailed, the sound muffled by the ice pack as you started to sob in earnest. "I’m such an idiot! I’m a huge fan, I’ve literally worked three jobs to come here, and now I’m... I’m just giving you so much work! You’re tired, you just finished a show, and now you have to kidnap a drunk girl to a hospital!”
"I'm not kidnapping you, I'm helping—"
"I’m ruining your night!" you hiccuped, tears streaming down your face, mixing with the tteokbokki sauce and the melting ice water. "You should be sleeping! You should be on a cloud made of silk, not dealing with my stupid concussion! I'm so sorry I'm a fan! I can’t Believe i met you like this oh my God kill me right now!”
"Hey," he says, his voice low and grounding, cutting through your frantic sobbing. He doesn't look annoyed; he looks like he’s trying to stay calm so you don't spiral further. "Stop. You’re going to give yourself an even worse headache if you keep crying like that.”
“And keep that ice on," he adds, glancing at you.
You anxiosly just nodded quietly, while your eyes glanced at you perfect he looked.
The SUV began to roll forward, the engine barely a whisper. Jungkook leaned his head back against the headrest, while he tried to get out of the parking spot.
He had his left hand draped casually over the steering wheel—the car was idling at a long red light—while his right elbow was hooked over the top of the passenger seat. He had shifted half of his body around to try to get out of the parking spot, his broad shoulders filling the space between the seats.
From this angle, without his hat, he looked devastatingly pretty.
"I... I’m so sorry," you stammered again, your voice small and thick with the aftermath of your crying fit. You clutched the ice pack with white-knuckled fingers, staring at your own lap because looking at him was too much. "I know saying it doesn't fix your night, but I promise... I’ll make it up to you. I don't know how yet, but I’ll find a way to repay you for this. Really."
Jungkook let out a soft, huffed laugh, the sound low and melodic in the quiet cabin. He reached out, his tattooed hand hovering for a split second before he gently tapped the edge of the towel on your forehead, ensuring it hadn't slipped. "Repay me?" he repeated, his voice laced with genuine amusement. "What are you going to do? Buy me a bottle of soju? I think you’ve had enough of those for both of us tonight."
He leaned in a fraction closer, the scent of his cologne—something crisp and clean—drifting over to you. The glow of a passing streetlamp illuminated the playful glint in his dark eyes.
"You don't owe me anything," he said, his tone turning a bit more serious, though the lopsided smile remained. "Seeing you go from 'Is he an impersonator?' to 'I’m going to repay you' in ten minutes is entertainment enough. Besides," he added, his fingers drumming a light, rhythmic beat against your headrest, "if you really want to make it up to me, just stay awake. Keep talking." He signed “Imo told me to keep you awake”.
You just noded awkwardly and for some reason your drunk ass couldn’t keep you normal, so your head is just thinking about all of those CEO, mafia Boss fanfic you read about jungkook Back in highschool. Glancing at him, your Brain would never net used to it.
To break the ice, you Think you need to say something, so your dumb ass asks him the most idiot question of the world.
“Do you know that there’s a bunch of fanfics about you being a mafia Boss?” You ask.
He didn't look away from the road immediately, but you saw the exact moment the words registered. His eyebrows shot up, disappearing beneath his dark bangs, and a slow, bewildered blink was the only response you got for a solid five seconds.
"A... what?" he asked, his voice cracking slightly in a way that was far too human for a global superstar.
He finally straightened the car, coasting down the quiet street, and glanced at you.
"Mafia boss?" he repeated, the syllables tripping off his tongue like they were foreign objects. He let out a sharp, startled laugh that was more of a wheeze. "Me? I can't even tell the waiter when my order is wrong, and people think I'm running a crime syndicate?"
Your drunk brain, emboldened by the lack of immediate rejection, nodded solemnly. "Yeah. Usually with a lot of alpha pheromones. And guns. And you're always really... moody. And rich." Why th fuck would you say that Y/N???
Jungkook tilted his head back and actually barked out a laugh this time, a loud, genuine sound that filled the car. He shook his head, his right hand moving from your headrest to rub at his eyes, though he kept his left hand firmly on the wheel.
“Alpha pheromones?,” he muttered, mostly to himself, the amusement bubbling over. "I'm wearing a hoodie I've had for three years and I'm currently driving a girl to a hospital because she hit a table. I am the worst mafia boss in history."
He glanced at you again, his big dark eyes sparkling with a new kind of curiosity, the kind that made your stomach do a slow, dizzying roll.
The kind of glance you only saw when he was doing those Rolling Stones photoshoots. Or his photocards that you gave your whole money to have a collection. This was wild.
You’ve been fangirlling about BTS and Jungkook since you were a preteen, and now you’re in a car with him because you need to go to a hospital? Absolute wild.
