The sound of The Mayor's voice. Once, he considered the werewolf a clever opponent with a varied array of abilities. Maybe not a worldbeater or the most irredeemable scum around-- but the kind of supervillain that found the metaphorical open wounds in society, and bared them to a world that wanted to pretend they weren't there.

Tetra once been as much an inhabitant as anyone that was under his heel, now. He had Rex's heart, once. That all changed a little ways after winning the mayoral campaign.

"Damn right. I was here on business, then I was gonna get gone again. But somehow this whole place has gotten worse. So excuse me if I utterly fucking detest all this grotesque bullshit."

"Grotesque bullshit?" His head tilts back slightly, almost as if he's sizing Rex up. Hands slip into his pockets as he takes another step closer.

"I've kept every single one of my promises and cleaned this city up and you're acting like it's some sort of crude surveillance state."

Hands still in pockets, he shrugs his shoulders and sighs. He didn't expect Rex to understand: he knew him better than that. Deep down, he knew why Rex felt the way he did. But it was something he'd come to see as childish and overly idealistic. "But I wouldn't expect you to understand what that takes. Everyone has to sacrifice a little to make things work."

Deirdre is 500% adorable. So adorable it breaks the 4th wall.

"What!?"

Cherry is 10% adorable. Very tiny, but still counts.

"I see this individual has chosen death~"

Tetra is 50% adorable. Very good at snugging, and very cute.

"I. Very cute but only 50%? Surely that number is wrong then, right?"

Thirteen is 80% adorable. Can i hug you?

"Hands off the merchandise. I'm far cooler than I am adorable, I'm downright majestic."

Afina is Too adorable for a number. Past the borders of reality.

"As it should be. Reality is a construct I intend to master."

Re: last reblog.

One of the things I've noticed in the rpc and basically everywhere online is the tendency to forget the person on the other side of the screen. That is a human being there. Don't go into someone's inbox saying stuff you wouldn't say to their face IRL. The simple fact of the world is that you won't like everyone and not everyone will like you, for one reason or another. But that doesn't mean you have to be miserable about it.

It is never worth attacking someone for how they play with virtual dolls online. Set boundaries, politely decline, block if you must. But so many issues on this site (and others) come from the unwillingness to behave like you're talking to another human being. Before sending a message, think about how you'd feel if someone said that to you. Have some empathy. Talk to people as if you're in the same room IRL.

People should realize that roleplayers are going to write canon characters how they see them, not to how other people see them.

Some people like to be canon compliant with their muses. Some people like to take a canon divergent approach. Both are completely valid. Everyone has a different view on things and that’s the beauty of art whether it be a book, a tv show, a movie, a video game etc. Fandom should be a place where people come together and appreciate the series (or pick apart canon, whatever float your boat.)

The wrong thing to do is tell someone you don’t agree with their headcanons or interpretation, especially if you write that muse yourself. It gives off a message of not liking duplicates and comes off as a bit snooty.

If you don’t like how someone writes a canon character, ignore them and move on. Or maybe even embrace their differences and ask more about their headcanons. Do not send hate or be rude to others. It’s why people leave the RPC and why it’s getting smaller and smaller with the passing of time.

Coming back to this town didn't feel as good as it used to.

Rex was a little older. His travels and the results of his actions had exhausted him further. But they had also given some relief in the places he'd managed to do some good.

But on entry he found himself throwing down. Two cops, dressed in entire sets of riot gear despite it being a seemingly average day were dropped. The locals they were heckling were here to do some business then go back to their borough. The streets weren't just clean in this district, they were startlingly immaculate. Not a smudge of graffiti around.

That was the grimmest portent. Rex didn't even realize it yet.

Through this place that should have been familiar, he would tread. Every corner felt like the start of a wasteland. Despite what had been built up over these past years.

But who's responsible?...

It takes a long, drawn out moment before he acts. Once again he shoves emotion down, caged with his inner wolf back behind his heart. His eyes still shone bright as he drops over the edge and lands with an expert swish of his tail.

He heads down the street and through a couple of pathways he knew better than anyone. Everything was clean, devoid of bright colour in any meaningful way - unlike the shimmering hues of his fur in the low light - not even billboards in their artificial glow radiating more than a rare pop of colour here or there.

His path now intercepting Rex's, he approaches. Arms crossed, suit clean pressed and tail hanging coldly behind him.

"I'm going to assume the assailant on the police radar was you, Rex." There's little warmth his voice as he approaches, let alone his usual playful inflection "I thought you had better manners than to mess around in my territory, old friend. Or maybe you left it behind when you decided I wasn't worth your time anymore."

While Thirteen is competent with modern technology, they're truly fascinated by vintage devices. Their homeworld is rather steampunk in nature, complete with fantasy airships. (Side note: as a kid they thought being a sky pirate was the coolest thing). Anyway. They prefer things with moving parts like old cash registers and pocket watches. They're pretty adapt at tinkering (and would probably get in a fight with Afina that these offline old devices have way more charm to them).

That is to say, while they utilize a smartphone they really love traditional film.

"If only it were so simple!!" The elf cries out, hands thrown in the air. Even one as obnoxious as them absolutely, completely understood they just couldn't go around doing brain surgery.

On the other hand—

They spin one of their firearms around in front of themselves, thinking it over.

"A shot to the head's just as good as a lobotomy, right? You could actually argue it's more humane since it's just putting the poor bloke outta his misery..." Ah yes. Murder. A wonderful answer.

"Next time that bastard doesn't clean up after his dog shitting on my lawn it's over! I can probably rehome the dog somewhere better..."

"How is victory embarrassing~?" The old fox asks, voice laced with amusement. He couldn't help but find the situation humorous as he offers the roughed up looking man a bottle of water.

"Certainly it may have been unorthodox, but dignity means nothing to a dead man." He could never quite grasp how humans clung to it — honor, dignity — but that was what made them so charming. A soft chuckle follows.

"If you are embarrassed, think how bad the loser must feel."

Rex is peeking at Cherry's new outfit. He's grumbling as usual, trying not to look too flustered.

"Come on, you can just get over yourself and subscribe to my Onlyfans~. There's really no shame in it." A cute wink and a heart-hands gesture follows.

Only because he knows the over-the-top movement of it all will drive Rex up the wall..
