does bigcatderek have declawed cubs? i saw vine*co/v/Ou57njxnwAE on my dash and i noticed that the paws look a little floppy and i'm not sure if thats declawed or just normal lion paws

I have not seen any declawed cubs, and the cub in this video definitely does have claws :]

Out of our current population, Milo the leopard, Tabula the lioness, & Selena the tiger were declawed prior to coming to CARE. Otherwise the cats' peets stay intact. ^_^

these exotic genome people are beyond shady. They're not only advocating white tigers, but also breeding hybrids, and they posted a "cute" video of dogs harassing a tiger. They clearly have no idea what they're talking about and are hiding behind the argument "because science" (without actually showing any real science to back up their claims).

I saw that too. Their page is a mess, literally all they’re doing is waving their degrees around and shouting “geneticiiiist!” without actually doing anything to back themselves up. They are already starting with the bias that white tigers are somehow healthy(where they get that from who knows) and it’s obvious that they are doing whatever they can to make that true, instead of trying to get real data.

For someone who harps on your detractors for not fully reading what you write, you sure seemed to skim over their page pretty loosely.

Did you even bother to ask them any questions or read their extensive comments sections before attempting to discredit them with ridicule & insult?

I've never made the claim that there weren't severe issues within the white tiger community, there certainly are, but what EGR is finding out is that there is more genetic health & viability within the white tiger community than what was originally thought. That is why I said that their findings can dismantle many longstanding institutional thoughts about white tigers.

It's hard to conceive of such a thing, especially considering the longheld beliefs to the contrary, I know, but I don't readily drink the "All white tigers are broken & bad, m'kay!" Kool-Aid like others do.

They have yet to fully publish their work because they're still sequencing HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of big cat gene sequences from around the world! You called their page a mess, but it's because they're scientists, not social-media personalities.

I ask that you go to their page and make a respecful, point-by-point set of concerned questions regarding their hard work before you condemn them for not lining up with your gospel.
