Alright. To all those who ship bkdk, im gonna need an explanation before I loose my mind. I really have tried to understand but jesus y’all make it hard. I’m literally so confused.
WHAT IS SO GOOD ABOUT THEM?? BAKUGOU (although he’s one of my favorites), HAS BULLIED MIDORIYA FOR YEARS, HAS HE NOT?? PLEASE EXPLAIN.

first and foremost: the "bullied for years" is a common fandom misnomer. we know of exactly TWO instance of bakugou being EXTRA mean (swan dive, opening series scene) and TWO instances of bakugou just being...a rude kid. (river, playground)
its later revealed that bakugou seriously just wanted to keep him AWAY, at arms length. its why he "bullied him" but we only have small snippets of their bad moments but we also have snippets of their good! watching all might, opening trading cards, bug hunting, skipping rocks. we also BARELY have any context of their middle school relationship.
so no, bakugou did NOT abusively bully deku relentlessly for 10+ years, which is SO misunderstood by non-bkdks and non-bakugou fans alike.
as for why most people like bkdk?
a lot of people just enjoy seeing real character development with a character as abrasive and popular as bakugou. it also helps that he and deku are extremely polar opposites of eachother in personality, design, hero styles, tactics, etc (literally sun and moon!) yet are so entwined. hero partners, rivals, childhood friends, classmates, most trusted person...
bakudeku is THE most popular bnha ship in japan, mostly due to the most popular romance trope "osananajimis" (lit. childhood playmate, its hard to explain in english but its a deeper relationship than a simple 'childhood friend').
their relationship is so complex so nuanced, that i dont even think its factually correct to say generic things like "bully and victim" or "rivals to lovers" or even "friends to enemies" if youre so inclined.
i think this relationship is best enjoyed or viewed by non-shippers with an open mind and a reread of the entirely of bnha. itll hurt going "should i ship these two?" watching bakugou tell him to take a swan dive but it just gets...better along the road. especially when you get past the blockade of early chapters, when so far into the series you are just whacked silly with shit like this every couple of chapters
TLDR: forget your distaste and reread bnha with an open mind
I'm gonna add extra; as a person who WAS relentlessly bullied in school, bkdk is not it.
I was afraid of even going to school, I skipped trips and even classes, I went home on foot instead of a bus just bc I didn't want to be near these people. I'm still remembering this from time to time, have issues I had to go to a therapist and psychiatrist with. Midoriya literally just called him an asshole (he was) and moved on.
I am especially calling out ppl saying he is traumatized. You've heard a word and went with it, huh? Trauma is a serious mental health issue, not "you were rude to me and I was sad at that time because of it". You may do it without knowing, but you literally spread harmful misinformation. Stop.
