…Is it weird that I try and psychoanalyse myself like every few days? Because seriously. I do.

Most days I come to the conclusion that I find it incredibly hard to trust people. Like, there’s one person who I will happily tell anything to. One. That’s probably not good.

And then while we’re on the subject of trust, I definitely have issues with control. I will do my absolute damned best to take control of bloody EVERYTHING in my life. Even people, to the best of my ability. And I will keep this control up until I actually genuinely fully trust someone not to abandon me and fuck me up completely. And if I trust someone and they do let me down in any serious way, I will make absolutely sure never to make that mistake again. So, there’s like two, maybe three people that I feel comfortable giving up some measure of control around, and exactly one person who I would happily just give up everything and let go completely for. They know who they are.

And then I have a definite need to be appreciated. Because my parents, my teachers, my friends, they all expect a lot from me, and they set that expectation as the minimum level of thing I need to do, and only working high above that level is worthy of any appreciation. Which I hate so much. And I need to be appreciated by people, otherwise I start feeling useless and generally shit. I spent a good six months of last year feeling useless and generally shit.

And I probably have several different kinds of anxiety disorder, as well as at least mild depression and probably a whole host of other lovely things. Undiagnosed, but I have a very distinct feeling that I probably do.

So there you have it, that’s me. Mentally messed up and stressed out and distrustful and controlling, with exactly one person who can make me feel better and get me to actually relax and give up for once.
