In Super Mario Sunshine, there are ten peppers floating in the void outside the King Boo boss battle arena in Casino Delfino. While it might be logical to assume that this is where the peppers are stored before they are spawned during the battle, as this is a common behind-the-scenes way of implementing spawning objects, this is in fact not the case.

The peppers have nothing to do with the peppers that spawn during the battle, and do not seem to have any in-game purpose. For this reason, dataminers refer to these as King Boo's "personal supply".
