I like to think that Thranduil’s wife was an even greater warrior than him. Like, she learned that the orcs were planning on attacking the Greenwood, and she armored up and personally led an army of thousands of Elves into Angmar and just laid waste to the place.

And she died there, yeah, but it was while standing atop a veritable mountain of slain enemies, still swinging her sword and screaming to the high heavens, “Bring it on! Mama ain’t done yet!” And Thranduil just behind her going, “Yeah… I know, sweetie, but… maybe enough is enough?”
