Lexi can’t help but laugh slightly. “Me either, but if it helps people sleep at night, who am I to judge them?” She shrugs. “I guess people are just looking for anything to keep them sane or to have to blame.” The brunette shakes her head slightly at the mention of Maeve and Homelander’s past. “Doubt it. I mean, odds are that whole relationship was just one fucking great PR stunt. You know, fake dating, sometimes being asked to make it real.” It was really textbook stuff. “Then again, maybe it was real, who knows? But I’m pretty sure it has to do with the plane crash.” She runs a hand through her hair before tilting her head slightly at the man in front of her. She raises an eyebrow at him. “Ordinarily, I’d say no… write it off as him not being able to do such a thing, but…” she trails off and looks around before continuing in a quieter tone, “He’s been…. on edge lately… like, pretty aggressive… so honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he or Essex were behind it, or even both of them together.” She eyes the man, “Why? You know something about it?”
"JUDGE ‘em if you wanna, it aint nothin’ to do wi’ me. I do me fair share o’ it meself.” Judgin’ the supes, the people that supported ‘em an’ those that helped ‘em become what they are. “People look for anythin’ to save themselves any work. In my opinion, it is a new form of stupidity an’ cowardice in lovin’ supes.” Nobody gunna save ‘em but themselves. “I dunno, I thought they were real or somethin’ but I think nothin’ is real when it comes to them.” Only what Vought constructed to be real. “What would I know ‘bout somethin’ like that?”
