Today’s TMA extra- Mike Crew

A concept on how I both imagine him and based on his description.

(they never mentioned his hair)

-I imagine him with a buzz cut (for convenience) with spots of white hair to appear like a storm cloud.

-The scar then looks like a lighting bolt shooting out

-The whites of his eyes are made black to add to the stormy, supernatural presence.

About lighting scars

I noticed a few people make his scar pale compared to the rest of his body.

This is not a lightning scar.

lighting does not pierce flesh, it burns as it travels through the capillaries. Because of this, they appear red.

The capillaries rupture from the electrical discharge, leaving a Lichtenberg figure within a few hours. These usually heal, and it’s rare that one becomes permanent. The scar can remain permanent depending on how well a person can heal, or how intense/long the lighting hits. Intense strikes will leave a broader scarred pattern than weaker strikes.

There’s nothing wrong with stylisation! But I’d recommend doing research. The human body and how the skin reacts depending on certain elements is fascinating!!

The eyes

I imagine that when beholding the avatars cannot look normal. They’d be doing something freaky with their eyes depending on what abilities they can perform.

It would explain why Jon could read a whole page in French without even knowing!

Logistically this would take away the mystery of when or when they are not beholding and would probably be less intimidating- but it’s fun to think about nonetheless.

I already think the fan made design embodies the character well, so I just wanted to add my own touch by making his greying hair and his pale, aged skin more real to life.

You can just smell the cigarette smoke.

I honestly think of the btas scarecrow whenever I hear the btaa one, except more a ‘dude’ guy and if he took copious amounts of weed of his own creation.

I’ll get around to making a digital version so you can see this silly guy in all his glory.

Here’s my version of Tetch.

Just as his clothes, his heart finds itself in all the wrong places…that’s why Alice has needed to place several restraining orders on him.

The first design I posted a silhouette of was scrapped and I started again, glad I did because this is much better.

….would it surprise you that pride and prejudice was an inspiration? Jervis is definitely a fan of Victorian era fashion.
