Selûnite Cleric Elijah is back, and this time, he has Sharran Paladin Samuel with him.
[Please note that the post does contain act 2/3 spoilers]
Samuel was a son of Selûne, Elijah was part of Selûne army against Shar under the command of Samuel, [theres a full background on how this wood Elf becomes an Aasmir], they eventually became lovers, it was Elijah job to protect Samuel but the roles reversed when Samuel was killed protecting Elijah.
Samuel died in Elijah's arms, or so he thought. As a Demigod Samuel should have come back to life, when he didn't, it was assumed that the Sharran's had come up with a weapon that could kill a god or at least kill a demigod. It took longer than normal for Samuel to come back by then the Temple was over run by Sharrans picking through the mess, finding Samuel weak, they saw a chance to sacrifice a selunite demigod , so they captured him and took him to the guantlet [the same one that Samuel once rescued and watched Elijah die in] , Shar stops the sacrifice, seeing the potential in turning 1 of Selûne children against her, she convices Samuel that his sacrifice was in vain, For her sister had punished Elijah for failing to protect Samuel. Samuel now believes that Elijah is made mortal where his age caught up with him and killed him, Samuel was angry at his mother and turned to Shars' embrace....
Elijah [who is very muchba live and isnt mortal] is sent to search for Selûne's lost daughter, [a search that many have lost their lives on], and Samuel is sent by Shar to guide Shadowheart to her destiny, the two awaken in the Nautiloid... now enemies.
Will Shadowheart listen to Elijah and save Selûne's daughter, or will she listen to her now sharren lover and kill his divine sister.
Shadowheart decision will determine the fates of Elijah, Samuel, Astarion and her parents.
Outcome 1: Shadowheart kills Alyin
Elijah suffers loss, his mission has failed, he doesn't convince Astarion to stay spawn, instead he becomes a Fallen vampiric Aasmir bound to no god, slowly lossing his divinity. Will Astarion still wish to keep him?
Outcome 2: Shadowheart saves Alyin
Samuel has failed and breaks up with Shadowheart. Elijah convinces Astarion to stay a spawn. Selûne allows Elijah to stay.
Samuel is punished by Shar for failing her.
Outcome 3: Shadowheart saves Alyin.
Elijah convinces Samuel he truly loves Shadowheart and turns away from Shar. But can he convince Astarion not to take the power? Astarion sees that there was more than just friendship between Elijah and Samuel and jealousy seeps in...... That is a fate to be decided.
Outcome 4: Shadowheart kills Alyin but saves her parents.
Elijah is fallen, and his hatred for Samuel grows. Elijah, out of spite, convices Shadowheart that she can save her parents, and Shar and Samuel lied to her.
Selûne and Shar are their dream Guardians, lol
