totally forgot to post this, but here's my kiki plush pattern!! sorry i can't really provide much detail, but this was mostly improvising.
(no color version to save your printer)
most instructions can be based off of this video:
otherwise:
- when adding detail, start with attaching the front and back hairs, and then put the headband on top to cover all the messy layering
- mine is all hand sewn, but hot glue might be better and more convenient
- i drew all the jacket and shorts details with sharpie, so no need to use anything fancy
- materials used are felt for the body and hair, cotton for the clothes, stuffing, and embroidery floss. (and a needle and thread but that's a given.)
personal notes/reflection:
- PLEASE do not make yours as tiny as mine. you need to flip everything inside out and its a huge pain
- felt is not a very stretchy fabric, so if you're using it, be careful
- highly suggest learning some basic sewing stitches (backstitch, satin stitch, and ladder stitch especially)
- remember to attach a little loop at the top under the headband if you want it to be a keychain. (i did not remember)
- you can double layer the hair if you want, but it might be thick. if you're using felt, use glue (probably fabric glue. idk i didn't do it.) if you're using a stretchier fabric like minky, sew it together and turn inside out.
- if all else fails... improvise!! creativity and critical thinking will do you well here
