Heeeeello and welcome to my humble garden, where the blooming 💐flowers💐 are... rather scarce, but bright and brilliant nonetheless! You can call me Vulture, Bird, Comet, or anything that comes to mind, really. Pronouns are he/him, ae/aer, trill/trill, and chir/chirp and I'm genderfluid at best, an abstract concept at worst. I'm also otherkin and a therianthrope though my identity is very vague. It's hard to define the Self by comparing it to other creatures, but I find certain aspects of my identity in various beings both real and invented (birds, avian origins, felines, and others)

Impulsive redesign of Swiftpaw (he/him) I did to unwind after finishing the Hollyleaf drawing! I'm a diehard fan of giving stripeless cats stripes. I just can't stand simple piebald cats, I have to throw some tabby in there. In this case the stripes are from his mama! I initially imagined them as coming from Tigerstar, and that was before I remembered that Tigerstar is not his dad. Lucky that Goldenflower is a tabby. In my old art he had pink eyes, but midway through this one I discovered within myself a newfound love for the colour yellow so. they're yellow now. He is loosely and subconsciously inspired by the Swiftpaw in the Mr. Fear maps and, as my friend pointed out, he somewhat resembles a lion to hint at Brightpaw's famous quote! And it generally suits him too. Despite my dislike for it (and for the time in which it was created), the original is under the cut

Do these headcanons still stand? uuuuh somewhat. I still see him as trans, but now I'd say he's straight. I do also like the idea of him and Brightpaw being in a QPR, but I'm unsure about his crush on Cloudpaw (she/her). On the one hand it could play nicely with his distaste for her which is borne of Bluestar's apparent favouritism, however it also feels like a little too much. I'll have to entertain the idea for more time to see if I like it.

Hollyleaf. My favourite tortured soul. Her obsession with being a perfect warrior and a member of the prophecy bleeds into her role in the Clan as a whole. She lives with the conviction that she must be more than she is, endlessly taunted by an ideal that she is unfit for. A personal tragedy that plays beautifully into an aroace interpretation of her character. First her affection for Cinderheart (headcanoned as qpr) is superseded by a romantic relationship, then her situationship with Fallenleaves is abandoned in favour of her return to that suffocating Clan life.

Also does the text in the image make sense? idk. I came up with it on the spot and found the wording fitting enough.

For context: this came out in 2011 in Australia. Same-sex marriage would not be legalized until December 2017.

It was only legalized in 8 US states (the 8th only a few months before), and wouldn’t be legalized nation-wide until 2015.

It was only legal in TEN COUNTRIES in 2011. We wouldn’t hit 20 countries until 2017. (Australia was 23rd)

As of today (April 14, 2026), I believe only 38 countries have fully legalized same-sex marriage. Out of somewhere around 200 countries in the world. That’s only ~19% of countries.

This is still revolutionary.
