Serotonin's primary function is digestive, and we're starting to think dopamine might have digestive leanings as well, so this is true in both IBS and depression ways.
ngl eating ass did more for my digestive and mental health than medical science
this entire interaction really sums up what social media has become

big day for the slur community
I haven’t cum in twelve days I’ll start having allucinations if I don’t breed someone’s son within the next few days
hey so i used to work at tumblr but now i work at garbage day. i just re-read the piece in garbage day about the slur song and i figured since i don't work at tumblr anymore nothing is stopping me from messaging you and saying that omg i absolutely love it and thought it was hilarious. i sent it to my team on slack and was like "y'all this is the song of the year" and all of us lost our minds. i also sent it to my "queers united" group chat the universal response was "this is an absolute banger" lol.
10/10 completely unmonitizable and unmarketable and your post about "tumblr staff finding out their site has crowdsourced a viral song only for it to be unusable in corporate marketing" made me, the lead of the marketing team at the time, laugh until i cried. spot on, literally was like "guys this is the biggest thing on tumblr right now, it's fucking amazing, and we cannot touch it with a 10-foot poll." absolutely incredible. stellar work.
aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!?!!!!!!?!!?!!?!!!!!!!!
Funniest ask in the history of this website

for anyone that somehow missed this amazing work of art:
one of the most frustrating things about getting a job is that after you go through the absolute hellscape that is applying and interviewing and you finally prove yourself worthy of having employment, you'll end up in the workforce and realise that 90% of the people with jobs are not actually very good at them. so like why was all of that even so hard
I taught my kid that swear words (important note: this does not include derogatory names for groups of people) are just words that can carry a social consequence. When you are a child, this consequence isn’t on you, as much as it is on your parents, who are responsible for you. As such, parents usually just ask their kids not to swear. Instead of that, I told him to ask me before he swore so I could explain the potential social consequences and we could make the decision together. So far, he’s asked a handful of times if he could swear at Trump while we watched the news. I found this perfectly acceptable, so he got to say “Fuck trump”. Once when he dislocated his knee, he asked to swear - I said yea, he yelled “HOLY SHIT OUCH” and I asked if it made him feel better, he said it did. Once in traffic someone almost hit us and he asked to swear, I said yes - he said “That guy is an ASSHOLE” and I was like, yeah. 100% he was. He’s never asked to swear at a time that I felt was inappropriate. I have 0 regrets about this parenting decision.
ID: Parents need to get better at teaching their kids that swear words aren’t actually bad they’re just only appropriate in certain contexts, this 9yo girl at the grocery store just held up a bag of cauliflower rice and said “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS,” and she deserves a fucking Oscar. End ID.
This is so valid and important. And is a great indicator of the kind of society a kid is growing up in. The way a kid is taught about something possibly frowned upon but not intrinsically bad (i.e not hurting anyone) is a good indicator of the health and social intelligence of that particular social sphere/relationship, whether they’re shamed or told to be quiet with no real understanding of the reasons behind it (possibly because there are some difficulties in communication why it can be “bad” due to the adults own lack of knowledge or severe childhood conditioning or perceived self and social worth), or they’re given context, reasoning, and guidelines from their caregivers in APPROPRIATE use.
Because ultimately, words are a tool and swearing has its uses, be they social or psychological.
And hey, it’s always funny hearing a toddler say Fuck.
