I mean all things considered there is a positive way to read this:

Like I get that the surface level interpretation is haha funny, but cmon now this is actually a fantastic pre-acupuncture intake draw!!

Summary:

Ray is... fine, three months after his trip to San Francisco. He has plenty of enrichment and is completely fine. He's not doing bad but he isn't doing great, either. It isn't like he's achingly lonely and touch starved, definitely not.

sometimes i wonder if im wandering away from characterization but then i also think that maybe we make lazy assumptions based on biased and superficial impressions of certain types of characters and lose out on a lot of neat and potentially rich nuance. Just like, re: the whole brad being actually kind of chill about nonmonogamy. idk. also, i dont care. it's fanfic. (i care SO much u guys)
