May Helen McCrory rest in peace.

This is shocking and heartbreaking news, my thoughts are with her family and friends and those who knew her better, if this hurts this much to all of us I can't begin to imagine them. I just hope she knew how much she gave to all of us with her brilliant acting and great personality, she will be so missed.

Her husband said she "died as she lived, fearlessly." and surrounded by the people who loved her. May she rest in peace now.

I still have no idea how to process her passing, Helen was just such a beautiful, strong, funny and talented woman. She's always been one of my biggest celebrity crushes, and I just always admired how strong and powerful all the characters she played was. I first saw her in DW then in HP and a few other of her shows. Her smile was just always so beautiful and bright, she seemed like the most kind and loving person. She didn't deserve to have to battle with cancer, and she didn't deserve to die.

She may be gone, but her memory and the imprint she left on everyone will never leave. My heart goes out to her family and friends, I can't imagine how hard this must be for them. I always knew she'd pass away one day, but never did I imagine she'd be stolen from us this soon.

Helen McCroy will always be one of my most admired actresses, and I know that I'll never stop watching what she was in, even if I cry while doing so. Cancer takes away so many amazing actors and actresses, I know people who have types of cancers. I have a classmate who is a friend of a friend that has it, a family friend of mine died of cancer a few years ago, and my great grandfather has had a type of cancer. I hope that anyone who is suffering with cancer, or knows someone who is, is alright, and I wish you the best of luck with beating it.

Her death just doesn't feel real, and I've never really cried over a death before, but she was just such a big role model for me. I have don't have a relationship with my mother, and I never had a role model, but she always just showed what it means to be a strong woman, and I will forever miss her 💔

RIP BRILLIANT BEAUTIFUL POWERFUL HELEN MCCRORY

I have to post something because this woman means a lot to me. Helen McCrory just passed away from cancer at the age of 52. Most of you probably know her from Harry Potter, but I loved her long before that.

She was a fucking powerhouse of a woman, an actor that brought incredible depth to every roll she played. Her performance in Peaky Blinders was goddamn brilliant and was the main reason I watched that brutal show. She played the ultimate “strong female character.” I loved her in every roll, even the ones where her characters were less than pleasant.

She was a woman who stood in her power and didn’t apologize.

I don’t usually cry when I hear about celebrities passing. I have 4 exceptions thus far (all beautiful artists that made a mark on the world and on me): David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Tom Petty, and Helen McCrory.

I guess it’s kind of silly to gush on here about a woman I never knew. But I just want people to know what a breath of fresh air she was. No one played strength quite like Helen.
