Teammates
at some point we have to recognize that the athletes themselves aren't going to have a normal perception of what is okay and what isn't. athletes are addicts, plain and simple. they are addicted to adrenaline and winning and the act of taking part in the sport. it is an ACTUAL psychological phenomenon. so that being said. when will the non-athletes taking part in this sport buck up and actually take care of these riders? the riders regain their senses after the race is done (see what luca just said) but who will care about them DURING?
f1 supplementary content recs (beyond drive to survive)

please feel free to send additional things to add to the list!!
Way too many books to add but here are a few
The Limit is a good one it you can stomach some of the more disturbing deaths
Fangio: the life behind the legend was a good one, one that really hit hard
Nigel Mansell's autobiographies are really funny, would recommend
I've read two Christopher Hilton books, which were both very good
I will say I wasn't so much a fan of The Formula. I did a whole review somewhere but it might be because it was from a very American perspective.
On the documentary list, I'd add the Prost documentary!
Stay strong, Jacques.
part two
It does suddenly feel like he's from a whole different planet.

You are Theo Dimas, you don’t really go to the building you grew up in anymore, which makes sense because the memories are pretty fucked up and kind of suffocating, and besides people keep being murdered there so it’s probably a good call. Still the place is shutting down and your dad needs you to help pack up his stuff. It’s probably a good idea for you to say goodbye to the place tbh, and you’ve only been gone a year so it’s not like it’s changed beyond recognition…
From the second you walk through the door:
You collide with a murderer (because of course you do)
You find out that the old doorman was murdered (because of course he was)
There is now a creepy fucking robot in the lobby (???)
It’s Howard’s ex??? (he had a human boyfriend when you last saw him right???)
There was apparently another murder victim who the dead doorman killed (because of course he did)
You have to go to a last supper themed goodbye party (because theatre people)
East and West Arconia have apparently been reunited (good for them you guess)
Because of this you now have to watch Uma flirt right in front of your bowl of dip (this is disgusting)

Only Murders in the Building (2021-2025) 5x04 | Dirty Birds
Only Murders in the Building is proof that you can be a white man born before the Boomer generation and still not be creepy, outdated, or rely on that typical stale “old man humor.” You just have to be Steve Martin and Martin Short adapting your comedy to modern times in a way that feels natural and universal, becoming an adorable but cool grandpa whose dad jokes are weirdly hilarious instead of painfully cringey. Thank you both for your service.
Omitb being about late bloomers (and late friendships we find in our lives, and relationships, and figure-it-out-careers...) is so sooo personal to me, I cant even explain how much this mean. Welcome back my dearest show, we missed you!!
The Building Where The Murderers Are Only Murders in the Building 5.09 "LESTR"
Do you even know how to talk to someone my age? I definitely don't, and you don't count because you have old lady energy. Oh, she really does. 72 is where I'd put her. Maybe 75.
