How to tell you've completely lost it: - You finish writing a song and then realise you can't remember what comes next. Do I hire the guitarist first? I know it isn't the drummer, because he doesn't like playing until most of the song's been recorded. Is it the bassist? - You eventually realise it's the guy who does the piano and orchestra parts that's up first. You go to messages and see the timestamp for your last message to him was nine months ago. What have I been doing all this time?

Ramping up music production again after a fairly lax month due to time and money constraints. Looking forward to getting the wheels spinning on the new album again. All going to plan, hoping on performing a live Bishmanrock set on Twitch next week. This will be literally me singing to backing tracks, but will give an indication as to what a live Bishmanrock band may sound like if it ever got off the ground, and if I get comfortable with it will slowly start swapping out aspects of the backing tracks with live instruments (bass being the obvious one). News as it comes in.

I've been considering for some while performing a proof of concept #livemusic Bishmanrock set on #Twitch. If it sounds a bit weird that's because it is, but I'm positive there's some worth in doing so. It of course would be pretty experimental, and largely performed on backing tracks (which is the main thing preventing me from wanting to do an actual live set - there's a certain line of live musicians I feel I need before it becomes stageworthy, else it's just a bloke singing along to some mp3s). Initial sets would be just me singing, with the intention of me seeing if I can perform bass duties as well on future sets. If it works, I'll be using these sessions as proof of concept to pitch to others to try and form a band around. Anyway, that's what I've been thinking recently.

Had a pretty nice relaxing FF7 stream, issue free, for almost two hours. Thanks for the randomers who hopped in and said hello. Currently waiting on some equipment to arrive to allow me to stream music production - think I've figured out a way to do it, that essentially requires me rerouting my audio through a second sound card. Fun.

Been busy with admin joys. Lyrics submitted so that certain stores (possibly just iTunes at the moment, but I know others are looking into it) will display them on the releases for Devil Road, a bunch of Misery Addict tracks, and eventually the entire Bishmanrock discography when I put a few days aside to do it. They've also made it so you can submit artist credits now, so following that I'll be submitting proper credits for my session musicians/producers/writers/etc. etc. so they should be viewable in online stores, too. Planning to do a second test stream tonight, with the intention of streaming some Cubase editing. I fully expect there to be audio issues, so if anyone's doing nothing better I'd appreciate a viewer just to tell me what's working and what's not on their end.

Potentially going to start doing the occasional Twitch stream again. Not gaming for now - some odds and sods like music mixing and things I normally do solitary. I'll need some test viewers when I start, as I anticipate a LOT of teething issues (for the nerdy: Cubase alters my bitrate settings, which at a guess will probably cause the stream to go silent, I need to figure out if there's a solution of if it's just unworkable). Will post here when stuff happens!

According for Facebook, 138 of you haven't heard from me in a while, so here's an update: - 6/7 Devil Road tracks have been mixed and mastered. The final, 10,000 Steps, was delayed due to additional work both instrumentally and because I was less than happy with the diction on my original takes. Happy to say the new version is sounding AMAZING and is possibly one of the better tracks I've done, although it's clear I was listening to a lot of Roger Waters at the time. Artwork is finished. Digital booklet will follow shortly after release via Bandcamp for no extra cost for those who purchase via that site. Other sites won't get it - sorry! Blame the crap system I have to adhere to. - Related to the above, Devil Road is due to be released within the next two weeks. - Accompanying the release, possibly shortly after, will be a single for Standing Still, possibly one of the best tracks on the album. It will feature a single variant of (You're My) Sunshine, and a "War Drum" variant of 10,000 Steps. Artwork is currently in provisional stage, although the current draft is possibly too risqué for me to go with, so may have to start from scratch. We'll see. - 2018's plan is to release 43DM: The Will of Want, plus the single Want of Will. I'll also be continuing on with the remaster project, hopefully focusing on The Black Sun, Conformity Destroys Creativity and The Coldest of Hearts. I'm also hoping to open the doors to some collaborative work, but this may continue through into 2019 if I have take up. I'll be doing recording for The Fate: The Day the World Came to Ruin, but I highly doubt I'll get it out in the year.

Devil Road is now entirely out of my hands. It's with the producer, and should be out in time for Christmas. Thank you to all who helped write, provide feedback, and in general supported me throughout the lengthy process that it took to complete this project. 4D3M: The Will of Want is the follow up album, and is already roughly 40% done. I'm gunning for a 2018 release. Here we go again!
