oh my fucking god i was watching this video about a melody that's fairly common (video titled "the gen alpha melody" or smth idk). The dude was like "hurrrrrrrr this melodyhas this chord and that chord" .

Im like DUDE. i know enough music theory to know this. the question is, WHAT makes these chords appealing? AND EVEN if I didnt know enough music theory to know that. i would STILL want to know WHY those chords are good, NOT JUST WHAT THOSE CHORDS ARE !!!!!!!!
