Her gaze remained firmly on the strange man, never appearing to blink, even after close to a minute of silence passed. She didn’t afford him a lick of trust, and the temptation to shout for guards to come and get rid of him was rising but at the same time… she was intrigued. She had never met someone else with her abilities outside of the Techeuns, and their powers were not nearly as great.
“Techeun, Tech Witch,” Ronja said, pacing the length of her room once, before settling by the opposite wall. She wanted distance between them, just in case she needed to bolt. “They amplify the Queen’s powers… my grandmother is one, which is why I can move stuff around. So, you’re not one, I know that. What are you then?”
He was hoping that she wouldn’t call for her guards. It would swiftly become a messy, unfortunate affair if she did–- He certainly had it somewhere within himself, barely beneath the surface, to plaster her to the wall as flat as an oil painting if she tried to cause trouble. There was something about her that had intrigued him, though, and he didn’t want to waste it. Didn’t want to waste her.
Not yet. Sitting back, resting his weight on his hands, Cain tilted his head. “A... Tech, witch. Mn, that’s interesting. What are the queen’s powers? I’m rather new here...” As if dismissing his own question, he would shake his head, clearing his head before offering her a smile. “I’m a Krusnik, dear. I predate the darkness by millenniums! I was one of the first men to settle on mars with my family.”
He would sound incredibly proud of that fact, an almost childish innocence in the way he proclaimed it that certainly lent him a bit of credibility–- If not sympathy. “Most of them are gone, now, but I’m still alive. Still kicking!” A grin, delighted. “I felt your power–- I thought perhaps you could use a teacher. If not about your skills, then... Well... Everything! There’s not a lot I don’t know, you know.”
