I don't know how to title this um {Open}
Waking up in an unknown place with strangers and a (kind of) eerie cardboard cut-out staring straight at you is not something that happens everyday. At least from what he remembers from back then. But now is not the time to just sit down and think about the childhood days because that is weird. Weird for the current moment of course.
Rupert kept his eyes locked on the cut-out as he straighten out his apron. He couldn’t help the feeling as though it was staring straight into his soul. Like how that one song goes. After a few seconds of his stare down with it he turned his head around the room to get a glimpse of the others. None of them really stood out to him. As in he knew them. He couldn’t deny they all looked pretty snazzy though.
He opened his mouth to speak, but decided not to. If someone that knew what was going on spoke at the same time as he did he would feel terrible. It would seem like he was being rude. Which he doesn’t want at all. No no. So he decided to go in the back and watch over the others. If anyone needed him, which they probably won’t, they just go over by him.
With all these people screaming and freaking out…it was much easier to notice those taking this rather well. Or, at least taking it better than she was. It didn’t take much to do that, like not scream. It was almost worrisome, seeing him stand there in silence…was he alright? Maybe he was hurt or felt sick!
She rushed to her feet, almost falling over again and dropping her doll while she was at it. Now wasn’t the time to fuck up and get hurt…not now. Silently she walked up to him and tugged on his sleeve…and just stared at him silently for a couple of minutes. What was she…supposed to say? He just woke up to find all these strangers locked in a hotel with him…he probably didn’t want to look at her!
"A-ah…! Sorry if I- s…sorr-ry…I um…I’ll l-leave you alone g-gosh I…mess-sed up I…I just wanted to know…if y-you were…okay…"
Her eyes filled with tears she tried so desperately to wipe away with her arm, but more just kept forming. Good luck with that, Nui.
