Trans Women Face More Injuries Than Cis Ones (It's Not Even Close)
A new study found that injury rates among transgender women are significantly higher than injuries among cisgender women, based on radiologi
❝Transgender women in the study group suffered 8x times as many head injuries as the controls, 36x as many facial injuries, and 5x times as many chest injuries.❞
So much for "protecting women".
For all those wondering why the title doesn't say this, it's because the study doesn't say this either.
While the cause of the injuries may be obvious, it's not technically known, and science speaks for what is known.
Some (a minority) of the trans women injured reported that it was violence, and some (a smaller minority) reported that it was intimate partner violence, but most did not report anything and the stats are just from the fact that they needed treatment and so went through the radiology department with their injuries.
Getting a lot of reblogs saying "undescribed" and "no image ID" etc, so please be aware that I did add alt text shortly after posting (it was a pain to copy on my phone so I did it on my desktop), but by then, it had already been reblogged by a couple of big blogs, so this alt-texted version is languishing, please do reblog it!
I only identified as a lesbian for a very brief period but straight girls do this realllllly bizarre thing where they ask you if you have a crush on them or who you think the hottest girl in a certain group is and get offended if you say no or refuse to answer. It’s like walking on a tightrope over a lake of fire, there is no good answer to give. Inside, you know if you were to say “Yes, I think you’re very attractive, I’m into you.” they would definitely weaponize that against you or treat you like a perv but if you say “No, you’re not my type, I’m not interested in you.” they act soooooooo wounded. And I’m sure some straight girls who do this are not entirely straight and were interested in feeling me out but I do think there are a lot of straight girls who do this as some form of power play. Anyway, it was so weird. And they have the audacity to act like lesbians are sexually inappropriate bullies.

Trans people of color!!! Do not let the culture around you stop you from choosing a name that speaks to your heritage. When I was settling on my name, I had white trans people around me tell me that my name would be too hard to pronounce or too long for most people. [Four syllable Latin name, go figure]
I'm glad I didn't listen and decided to stay true to myself and I chose a traditionally Afro-Brazilian that still makes me happy to this day. Don't feel pressured to assimilate or make yourself more palpable for white people, little reminder!
wanted to practice drawing reflective fabric. wayne cat is there too i guess
he/it got that 11.5 inch strap
My 2 moods
When did you first realize your interest in drawing hot bugs?
it's less of an interest in "hot bugs" and more like, bugs in general. I love drawing bugs a lot, I think they're very cool and underrated.
In terms of "hot" bugs. I like drawing women, so unfortunately my bug women are hot because i am a homo.
WHEN YOU REBLOG STOLEN PORN YOU ARE TREATING THE CREATORS AS LESS THAN PEOPLE. THOSE ARE PEOPLE. IF OP IS NOT THE CREATOR THEN THEY ARE VIOLATING SOMEONE'S CONSENT. IF YOU REBLOG IT YOU ARE ALSO VIOLATING SOMEONE'S CONSENT.
Adding credit to the post might seem like a fix, but IT IS NOT THE SAME AS HAVING PERMISSION TO REPOST, WHICH MEANS YOU ARE STILL SPREADING SEXUAL IMAGES OF SOMEONE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. If OP is not the creator then you need to be VERY wary of reblogging.
Some of you are WAY TOO CASUAL ABOUT VIOLATING OTHERS' CONSENT. DO BETTER.
Yes the black and white aesthetic porn edits you reblog count as non-consensual sexual images.
People get SO pissy when they're confronted. 💀
People are pulling "I didn't know" and it's not that hard so listen up -
🚩 Blog doesn't have a real bio and/or no info/links to their own original content
🚩 Blog is a bunch of posts of random people
🚩 No indication that OP is the creator - or it's blatantly obvious that they're not
🚩 No info/links in the post to the creator's sites
🚩 Spam tags on the original post
I need to whittle this down to the "for dummies" version so -
Does the image contain a nude person or is it sexual in nature? Ok, now does the image belong to OP?
IF NOT, do NOT pass go, do NOT reblog, report.
Another very important point:
Stolen means you have no ability to verify if the person in the image is 18+, and that's fucking scary.
Hey, it's my old stuff.

just saw someone (a trans + autistic person) say "most trans people are autistic" so just wanted to clear up real quickly. that is not true. you cannot separate the autism/trans overlap from the reality that many trans people have to have psych evals in order to access healthcare, which makes us more likely to be identified as autistic. when I was trying to access HRT, my doctor gave me questionnaires for autism and ADHD. many of my friends who are on HRT had to get evaluated for gender dysphoric disorder, and picked up other diagnoses in the process. this is altogether unsurprising to me, and it should be unsurprising to anyone who has been through those layers of psychiatric screening
I'm not saying there's a 0% chance of a real overlap existing between the two groups. it is an overlap that would make some sense. but 1) it's certainly not "most" trans people, and 2) you cannot trust any data about a group that is more likely to be exposed to pathologising processes than the majority
The thing people are leaving out of the discussion of transmisogynist "non-disclosure" criminalization is that you cant do that without giving everyone who has sex with a transfem while fully knowing shes trans a button to get her legally sex trafficked if they get mad at her. They can literally just say they didnt know she was trans after sex where you were fully naked non-op and the state will buy it because thats what its for
The trans panic defense functions identically, these aren't good faith but harmful systems, theyre just for brutalizing you for the benefit of chasers and rapists.
This is not how I expected to recieve psychic damage today
