i feel like so many people dont understand what we were watching happen in jax’s mindscape and it physically pains me to watch them bend over backwards trying to wrap it around into character analysis. like wdym Intrusive Thoughts??? how is zooble going all looney toons and charging at jax with chainsaw hands intrusive thoughts 😭😭😭😭 like it’s so obviously a portrayal of how she saw/Wanted to see the others as nothing but their archetypes and i’m baffled that yall somehow keep coming to different conclusions. or deciding that none of it matters or reflects on jax’s character bc it ““wasnt real””. hello?

The Perfect Pair- Ribbitrabbit animation (WIP!!!)
I've been working on this for a month now and finally got the motivation to finish the SKETCH animation. GUYS IT'S STILL NOT FINISHED, I WILL COLOUR IT IN AND DO THE LINE ART WHEN I HAVE THE TIME RIGHT NOW IS NOT THE BEST BC OF ARTFIGHT AND STUFF.
Anyway, I genuinely love the Ribbit and Jax scenes a lot. Ribbit is the GOAT while J*x was a POS. And I genuinely love the way it was done. We get to understand Jax, the way she grew up, the trauma she endured from her parents and her true identity, the person behind that mask. We are meant to empathise with her. HOWEVER, WE ARE ALSO MEANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT DESPITE THE STUFF SHE WENT THROUGH, SHE IS STILL A BAD PERSON WHO REFUSED TO CHANGE HER BAD COPING MECHANISMS AND HURT THE OTHERS THE MORE AND MORE HER BEHAVIOUR BECAME PROBLEMATIC. Yes, the trauma is an explanation as to why she's so avoidant with people and disconnected from the reality that she is IN FACT hurting the members of the circus, but it's not an excuse. Ribbit deserved so much better man. Anyway, have this unfinished angst I made and will continue at a later point :P

What are Jax's true thoughts on Gangle? Like i know she likes to bully Gangle in particular but we see moments where it seems like she actually thinks that they're friends almost (like when she says "what? She likes it when i'm mean to her") and ofc the scene with her in Jax's mind
I think Jax takes his complex feelings on his mother out on Gangle, but tries to justify it to himself through delusions that it's not ACTUALLY abuse, even though it is. Most abusers don't ever think of themselves as abusers, and tend to make up a reality in which their abuse is either not that big a deal or it's somehow warranted.
And from Gangle's perspective, she was at a very vulnerable place when she joined, and Jax took control of their relationship. She formed a bit of a codependent bond with him even though it just mostly caused her pain. Losing a friend who frequently hurts you can fill you with complex feelings that are really hard to make sense out of.
