WILDHCRSES
She felt familiar, she knew she should know who this was, but her brain wouldn’t connect the dots together. She saw how the other got the book and made sure not to drop her until she lowered herself. “don’t mention it.” she said quickly before she finally saw her face. Her mouth dropped, all of the emotions she had pushed down were coming back. “fuck.” she said while catching Anais as she seemed to drop to the floor. “Anais, mon chéri. You’re okay.” They weren’t however, Chloe was shaking herself from all of the hurt that came back to her. Tears gathered in her eyes, but first, she had to make sure the blonde was okay, she always did and all this time apart apparently didn’t change that. “Ssssh. We can talk about this. It’s okay.”
of course. of course their reunion would be at the library. like decided by fate. except this wasn’t fate, this was the producers’ fault. or maybe not? no one knew about their relationship, right? or was there someone behind this, someone who happened to know everything? shit, ella? no, she could never do this. no, her mental puzzling brought her right back to fate. fate she blamed with lots of forbidden words inside her mind as she rolled back on the ball of her feet, gripping the cabinet to make sure she wouldn’t collapse against her past lover twice. once was worse enough. ‘’merde, je suis vraiment désolé,’’ apologizing was her go-to in moments of panic and this one couldn’t be worse enough. the kind of worse that made anais forget about the contract she had signed, exactly the part where she was supposed to the universal language. and chloe calling her the pet name she had exactly fallen in love with didn’t help either. it caught anything she wanted to say in a big haze, like sentences suddenly didn’t make sense anymore. or talking in general and the struggle was right there. showing in her features, her body language. the cameras didn’t make it any better either and before she figured what was going on, her fingers had delicately wrapped around chloe’s wrist and her feet had made a run for it. out of the library, towards the elevators instead. a scene captured by cameras that seemed like two women going off for a quickie, but anais’ intentions were elsewhere. to her surprise an elevator stood ready, empty and she closed the doors as quick as possible to avoid any cameras. and the second silence took over, after the short ‘ding!’ confirmed the lift would take them to the highest level of the hotel, anais turned around. a complete change of features showing as heartbreak showed. ‘’i don’t know what to say... nothing can make up for what i’ve done to you.’’
