bitterhush:
it took one forgetful mind to bring a towel that stepped into the kitchen completely dripping wet, smelling as salty as the ocean, but the last thing that covered the brunette was shame. on an island like this, where women were overflowing, verena easily passed the hotel employees without a single complaint. her beach body was showing, the drops glistening on her skin as much as her once neat now messy bun had been overpowered by the waves of the ocean. ‘’hola chica,’’ the spanish rolled off her tongue fluently, her accent when she spoke in english so obvious as she continued, ‘’you’ve made nachos! what a sweetie you are, have you made them entirely yourself? mexican is my favorite, i was just aching for them, what are you? you must be some kind of mind reader, no?’’ hopping herself onto the counter next to the tray of food, her gaze shifted to the other, ‘’i haven’t seen you here before, chica, you new? or have you just been hiding in here all this time?’’
Quinn watched the dripping wet girl enter the kitchen and observe her nachos. She knew she had garnered some attention from the girl just based on the food. “No I can’t read minds,” Quinn stated honestly, “I just felt like making nachos so I did but then I forgot to put the cheese on so I had to put the cheese on again and put it in the oven. You can definitely have some if you want although... you’re wet, do you want a towel or something?” Quinn looked around the kitchen, deciding that this wouldn’t be a place she would find a towel for the girl. “I’m new! I just got here a couple of days ago, I feel like a fish on the water or something like that, I’m all turned around here!”
