New blog

For all the people who are leaving, planning to leave, I created a blog called @find-me-at-x (that I cannot tag for some reason but a search should bring it up). It’s a main account and you can find me there to get my contact info if this one happens to get poofed too.

I moved this blog off my main when the first round of purges started up. I wasn’t too terribly concerned, since I wasn’t as active any more, but it wasn’t worth the worry. 

I’ve kept up for the most part with who is who and some of the deletions- but I have not really checked this blog unless someone @’s me. I has been wonderful to not deal with the drama (though I have still continued to follow the heavy hitters). Though, it is interesting to note the lack of concern over harassment and doxxing this platform has. 

With this new round of purges and apparent censorship of ALL nsfw content, I’ve basically moved off this site. I converted a side twitter to a new salt handle (@saltoffmain), so I’ll keep tabs there for the most part and keep it off my main lmao. Feel free to tag me in anything over there <3

I’m moving this blog to an alt account in an attempt to keep my main from tumblr’s purge, so I won’t see any messages right away and @s emails are spotty on that account for w\e reason (more so than this one ha).

However, I’m probably just gonna transition more to Twitter anyway. I know very little about the platform, but at least they investigate reports of harassment.

First off, regardless of anybody’s opinions on the artwork, nyandro is breaking the community guidelines of Tumblr by their persistent (and self-admitted) desire to harass and bully @limesicle until they comply. This is specifically targeted and repeated, and as such not only do we strongly encourage limesicle to block and report nyandro, we also encourage others to block and report this blog. Harassment is defined as “the systematic, continued, and unwanted/annoying  actions of a single person or group of people”. It includes both threats and/or demands, involving a ton of different reasons including personal malice or attempting to get someone to do or stop something.

It can be difficult, but legal action CAN be taken against harassers if they do not cease and desist. Though we do not recommend doing so now, it is something to consider should nyandro continue or increase their attacks. I’m pissed at the fact that klantis refuse to even acknowledge the possibility that the brother lines might have been censorship when:

- We know for a fact that Dreamworks almost made Adam say he was Shiro’s “best friend”, which made it in in the ‘English 2’ version on Netflix, and was only avoided entirely because of how hard LM and JDS and Bex fought for rep

- The crew has been shipping sheith before the show even came out, Chris Palmer (one of the lead directors) drew sheith art extremely early on and Kihyun Ryu (major storyboard artist) drew sheith art between s5-s6 as well.

- JDS and LM have been liking sheith content since it started being made. JDS has confessed to watching sheith amvs and retweeted the starlight sheith animation. He’s also the one who directed the “The Black Paladins” ep (which had one of the brother lines)

- Pretty much every director or producer has liked sheith fanart on Twitter

- Brothers (and stuff like cousins coughsailormooncough) literally have historical precedent in several forms of media as being used as censorship

Keith doesn’t have a canonical human ethnicity, but him being Asian (most frequently Korean) has become undisputed fanon. Because he’s pale and doesn’t have a canon ethnicity, antis will resort to calling him a white boy when they’re mad, but still only portray him as Asian in their art/fic/works

Keith isn’t Asian lol, that’s pretty much confirmed canon fact. His mother is an alien and his father is very likely Texan or something- he has the deep Southern USA accent. But, still… using the “waaah keiths a white boy” argument… listen. I don’t care what color either person is, if someone is regularly an asshole to you, it’s not suddenly racist to make a single slightly asshole comment back lol. Lance harrassed Keith for like 3 seasons and was… kind of a major asshole. I don’t blame Keith for making the small “I don’t wanna be stuck here with Lance” jab lol. Race doesn’t matter, character relationship does, and Keith and Lance obviously have been rivals since episode 1 and they argue and snip at eachother. They just DO that.

The updates don’t go into effect until September 10th, though. What the hell is going on!?

My guess is they’re jumping the gun, regardless of when the new ToS is set to go into effect. The ‘discourse’ bloggers hit so far with account terminations were able to post for years without any kind of formal warning… and then their accounts got terminated at roughly the same time, along with those of fan-artists producing content for ‘controversial’ ships. So my best guess is a concentrated, organized mass-reporting campaign on the part of antis, kickstarted by discussion of the new ToS + Tumblr knee-jerking and deleting accounts, instead of actually committing to their promise of ‘care and nuance’ (but what else is new on that front…)
