An update about the future of the press:

Hello everyone,

This has been a tough decision, but after this month, I'll be taking a break from publishing indefinitely.

Working on the press this year has been great, and everyone's support of my work has meant so much to me!

This is for a few reasons but generally personal. I'm going to get a more stable job, and can't really run the press the same way I have been while doing that. I also have some other big life things coming up in 2024. Honestly, I've also just gotten more and more uncomfortable with promoting things on social media and the way that it being my job changes how I think about my art.

Current plan:

December 2023 will be the last month for supporter deliveries + monthly releases

Etsy + Ko-fi shops will stay the same until late March when I'm having a surgery (In March, all PDFs will stay up on Ko-fi indefinitely for free, Etsy will close temporarily then re-open smaller once I'm recovered enough, with print copies of just my own work)

This account won't be super active, but I might still post occasionally. I'll definitely still be making zines and hopefully other cool projects too but mainly post to my own social media! (@leedn on here).

Coming very soon: our new zines this month are two more game modules ("Web Weaver" and "Home Is Where the Guts Are") for my solo survival TTRPG "A Little Bug!" 🐌🕷️

I also realized I never actually posted about the last game module, "Tasty Caterpillar" which you can already get in our shop! The base game has also been updated to Edition 1.1 which makes some minor improvements to that zine.

New mini zine?! 🔮

"Spell for Sleeplessness" is by a wizard who's determined to create spells to deal with his issues despite usually not being super successful at doing so.

I (Lee, @leedn) have been meaning to get back into making things with Blender for a while so this month I've been working on a couple of 3d-illustrated mini zines of this guy to ease back into doing that! There's a second one of these I'll post in a couple days, and also look out for updates about A Little Bug (my solo ttrpg) and the next volume of Apple a Day next month!

It's done! We (Lee and Jessie) made this zine this August to celebrate my 3 years post-op, and Jessie being just a few weeks post!

It's meant for people having top surgery/considering it in the future, or people who are just interested in knowing more about this aspect of being trans.

"A Little Bug" is a single-player survival RPG in zine format, with 2 dice included. You play as a bug, alone in a massive world that you know very little of. Gather food and find shelter to survive, always at the mercy of your world, fellow bugs, and creatures who are too big to notice you exist. But you're still alive for now.
