Very random but I j wanted to mention that I met Seiko’s English VA in March at a con and she’s the coolest person ever. I hadn’t watched Dandadan at that point (literally binged it a week and a half ago and then binge read the manga after) and I met her because I loooove Mileena from Mortal Kombat and she voiced her (and Kitana) in the more recent games. But anywhoosies, I’d like to go to that con and meet her again (if she’s there ofc) but I got SO overwhelmed and anxious being in such a crowded space for so long. Sadge.

I also met Doom guy and Mitsuri’s English VA!

Another thing I love about Dan Da Dan is that the ‘shy nervous geek boy x cooler more experienced badgirl who doesn’t know he exists’ trope has literally been done to death but nobody’s doing it like them!

Okarun didn’t set out to get himself a girlfriend. He just wanted a friend. My sweet boy, caught in a lie where another girl was trying to kiss him, is most concerned that he lied to Momo about where he was and what he was doing. Ultimately, Dandadan to this point has been written so consistently well that by all accounts this plot twist will be handled well. Do I like it? No. Do I have to like it? Of course not. But if I just washed my hands clean of a piece of media I like every time it did something I didn't like I probably wouldn't be left with much media I like. And this is a recent lesson I've internalized, and Dandadan is of a much higher quality than the last thing I did wash my hands of, and I've only just gotten myself back into that! So I don't like this amnesia plot and I do want it wrapped up. But I'll give Tatsu the benefit of the doubt on execution even if things do get a little stupid
