For your goldbug au, does anyone miss b-127? Along with that, what does everyone think happened to him? Is the belief that he left, died, or just went missing?
Hmmmm, actually I've thought about it a lot.
Well SOME people definitely misses him, especially Jazz since they were the closest pre-war, with Optimus and Elita.. Im not really sure yet.
At one hand, I want them to be completely oblivious of what happened to B-127, being too caught up in their own responsibilities as leaders during the war at its peak. On the other hand, I also WANT them to know, but too late that there's nothing for them to do, as everything that happened already happened.
Sure they can maybe make it up to Goldbug, but he's too stubborn to accept it (Not because of them, he convices himself that they had faults, but he knows thats it all on him.)
But if it comes to regular mechs, I think it would be half and half yknow? Mechs who were close with B-127—at least as in, talked to him despite the other mechs hidden annoyance towards him— would definitely notice that he's gone. Unlike Op and Elita—who became used to B-127 not being by their side as they have different works and also in a different part of Iacon most if not all the time—they would notice that his usual laughter wouldn't be heard in the background, his noisy, speedy steps in the floor whenever he walks by gone, his bright gold frame blinding no one.
They would believe that he's in some mission, or maybe even studying! They've seen him go inside their libraries for an amount of time before coming back out, but would they check? Sure, some would, but would convince themselves that he's just busy, in another part of Iacon, training, anything—just not offlined, never offlined. Thats impossible isn't it?
The other half definitely doesn't think so, they don't talk about it openly—unless to provoke others—but it goes unsaid that they don't really care, in fact, they think B-127 already died! They've seen how he failed tasks time and time again, thats the main reason he was abandoned in sub-level 50 right?
They wouldn't outright attack the others or make scenes about whether B-127 is dead or alive or what. There's a war that's much more important, a war that puts every life at risk, and some are already being taken away, why must they overthink themselves for one mech?
Which is hypocritical of them, after all, they're the reason why B-127 overthinked himself out of existence.
