interesting morbid fun fact about titanic is that after the disaster, once everybody was onboard carpathia, the olympic (a ship literally built to be titanic's twin) offered to take some of titanic's passengers on so that carpathia wasn't so burdened. carpathia essentially responded by saying "are you insane? there's no way we're putting these traumatized people 1) BACK INTO THE LIFEBOATS, and 2) telling them to GET ONBOARD THE LITERAL SPITTING IMAGE OF THE SHIP THAT THEY JUST SAW VANISH INTO THE OCEAN WITH THEIR LOVED ONES ON BOARD. NO. WE'RE GOOD, THANK YOU."

(Small rant and slight correction for funsies) RMS Olympic was the first of the three Olympic class liners (wow I wonder where they got the name) and was suprisingly the longest survivor, being cut up in the thirties. RMS Titanic was the middle child,
