are there any superhero/superman/supergirl wenclair fics out there? just rewatched superman 2025 and thought the clois dynamic would eat as wenclair
saw fantastic four yesterday and had to sleep on it to figure out why exactly I didn't like it like I thought I would. the first 30ish minutes are a masterpiece in superhero filmmaking, but then you can really pinpoint the moment where the execs started meddling with it and it stopped being an honest movie about family and fears and first steps to being yet another formulaic marvel movie. it would most definitely benefit from another 10-20 minutes to develop characters (like ben, for example, that was very underutilized in my opinion). In the end, this movie suffered from being too safe and afraid to break away completely from the marvel mold. thunderbolts was a more honest film and while both have family as a centre plot, thunderbolts managed to be more sensible on the topic for me, f4 was very on the nose and trying to prove itself a lot – which was very unnecessary seeing the amazing chemistry that the cast had with each other and how effortless it was in the first act.
is bones having a renascence on tiktok? my fyp has been FILLED with bones content with a lot of likes and engagement. gosh I hope so, my comfort show deserves all the love
gotta be real, I have never wanted someone as bad as when I saw David Corenswet as a beaten and bruised and a lil depressed Superman double down on Lois and say that maybe seeing the good in people is the real punk rock. He could've been butt naked in 4K and I still wouldn't be as attracted to him as I was in that specific moment
he has bewitched me in ways I never thought possible
new bieber drop tonight FINALLY I can go back to my roots
Superman & Lois by Rod Allen. (For CBR's Line It Is Drawn)

guess it's a bit of an unpopular opinion but I see a lot of people saying they were disappointed with season 3 because the writers put all the blame on shauna and lottie for the villainous scenes we see in the pilot but... I do not see it that way at all. yeah, shauna and lottie are at the frontlines of the insanity they are living but they still held a cannibalistic ritual after ben died, they all ate him and danced around a fire with his head a few feet from them, they all held kodiak and hannah hostage, they all agreed to the hunt. even though I feel interacting with the scientists did bring them a bit of lucidity back, they are still very much in it. they could've found another solution to the hunt thing, they could've gone get help and got tai, shauna and lottie afterwards, they could've arrested shauna or something, but still chose to participate in the rituals to "trick" her. although they are in different degrees of lost in the sauce, they all are very much still lost in the sauce for me, still ways away from the civilized versions of them pre crash
Superman desperately scanning the street during a fight to find the most morally acceptable car to throw at his opponent, knowing that not everybody has insurance, and loss of transportation can ruin a life -
A wave of incredible relief washes over him as he spots the hard geometric lines and silver paintless sheen of a Cybertruck.
THE X FILES Season 1 episode 21 - "Tooms" Season 3 episode 17 - "Pusher"
There’s constantly a tab open in my brain that’s thinking about “but Peeta wanted them so badly.” But today it hit me, what if we read it differently?
Often it gets lumped into a cause and effect with the sentence before it. It took me five, ten, fifteen years to agree, but Peeta wanted them so badly. We read it as if she’s saying that Peeta wanting them was the reason she agreed.
Except that’s not how it’s written. It’s It took me five, ten, fifteen years to agree. Full stop. New thought. But Peeta wanted them so badly.
She’s presenting two separate perspectives on having children. Two potentially contrasting perspectives. It’s not I needed convincing, but Peeta wore me down. It’s I was hesitant, Peeta was certain. She’s showing the difference in the way they each see the world. Where she saw everything that could go wrong, Peeta saw the good. And where else do we see this?
“What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.”
It’s just a page before the epilogue for us as the readers but for her it’s almost 20 years later, yet the sentiment still remains. So what if “but Peeta wanted them so badly” isn’t just “he convinced me”? At least not in the negative way it’s sometimes taken.
It’s an “I told you so”. She’s checking in decades later to let us know that her thesis was correct. That Peeta is still her bright spot on dark days. Where she felt terror and doubt, Peeta wanted. That he fulfilled his promise that life can go on, quite literally by creating new life with her.
