So I think I'm going to create a new doll Tumblr - right now this is a side blog so I can't really interact with you all like I would on a 'main' account and I'd like to be able to do that. Will link here once I get a new page set up :)

Worked on redecorating my doll shelf/diorama today to fit Lola’s vibes. I love how this green wallpaper photographs with her and Ambrose. I think I want to get her some of those French velvet poufs and pillows from Verta Doll soon. Maybe when they have their mini market I’ll stop by since I live close. I also want to print out some art to put in the frames but don’t have a printer right now so that will be a for later thing.

I made August an outfit today! Upcycled an old pair of shorts for his pants (which are lined and have a zip closure) and a top out of an old dress. I don’t consider myself a seamstress by any means but am really proud of how they turned out for my first time sewing (by hand) at this size!

August keeps a diary (well at this point, several) documenting the ins and outs of his days, discoveries about his abilities as a vampire (which have changed over time) and he logs all of his “sources” for food.

When it comes to styling him I definitely want to take inspo from the life he had before turning, but find ways to modernize it as he would need to blend in with contemporary society.

I was thinking, if I was a vampire with an unlimited amount of resources in income, how would I fill my days when I wasn’t busy luring humans to their deaths? I thought flower arranging sounded nice.

So here’s August with his plants. He appreciates that they thrive in the sunlight - especially since his time in the sun is greatly limited (though he does get some, thanks to some handy magical jewelry he came by about fifty years ago).

(It will be a couple weeks until he has his own clothes apart from his full set. American Girl Doll Josefina really came thru tho).

I swore I’d never get an SD. I was lying to myself.

Meet August Altair. He’s a Aimerai Akagi (68cm) and is an Aimerai x Code Noir limited release (came with a full set not pictured here). I went to my first doll meet (the Project BJD one in LA) and fell in love with him immediately. I don’t normally go for this style in MSD size but I think he’s so beautiful.

He’s a Vampire, turned in 1923 - and used to run with the Bright Young Things. In fact it was at one of their parties that he was turned, though the details are fuzzy - the absinthe was flowing. 🥂🧪

My little werewolf, Gwen. 🌕🐺

Today I figured out how to get the neck piece off of my Minifee body and so now Gwen has a body that suits her a bit better. Also gave her some tattoos and a new faceup. Still not totally happy with her eyes but just need to keep practicing.
