I went waaay too long without buying clothes… or being more creative on the wardrobe department
Not anything dramatic, I have plenty of nice stuff and wanted to save
But this month I said “fuck it” and went all in (because winter is coming), thrift and new, 4 warm pieces
Not only I felt amazing (because I only choose pieces with fabric that feel GOOD)
but my bf instantly complimented me and said I have an excellent taste and mentioned exactly the look and feel of the fabrics.
My [creative] primate brain felt so validated, it was the best money I spent in a loong while
I really enjoy this hobby of exploring the “wearing of things” and, at the same time it IS kinda magical and mystical in some way, that affects phisically the real world, and I was neglecting it.
Also I don’t plan on going into a consumerist spree. Apart of very specific pieces, I try to thrift most of the time, because of value for price.
I also want to shrink my wardrobe, and be more mindful. The adding of 4 new exciting pieces allow me to be more detached of the old stuff, so I can figure out that to keep, what to alter, and what would be nice to buy.
It’s like a perfect balanced pokemon deck… haha
but it’s literally the collection of “skins” everyone sees you =)
But I’m also not over-minimalistic.. I always have a “home” and a “out” wardrobe, with some pieces falling in between. A lot of them, actually, because I value comfort and looks.
