I ran off into the woods

To make friends with the spirits of the forest.

I treated them with kindness,

They returned me with gifts

They took me to the mother tree

I had long heard of her beauty

With her powerful roots and branches,

she embraced me.

Then we danced there for days

In a warm glowing haze.

I had forgotten the fog

That I was stuck in before.

But at some point I got lost in those vivid colours.

I suppose I hit my head…

I guess I fell asleep…

All this time I had been dreaming.

As I lay here

Disheveled and decomposing,

I can’t help but feel

like I am floating.

So I will continue to lay here,

sheltered by the trees.

And surrender to my dreams,

My sweet dreams of green.
