The new official "Game of Thrones - A Guide to Westeros and Beyond" book has a chapter on Jaime and Brienne:

"... an ordeal that strips them of their differences and lays the foundation for a shared loyalty - and love - that bypasses political alliances in favor of a greater good."

"In the hours before the battle of Winterfell, Jaime solidifies his respect for Brienne, granting her greatest wish of becoming a knight of Westeros - and after the battle is won, their respect blossoms into love."

There it is in black and white for the people who still try to say that their relationship was platonic, that they never loved each other, or that Jaime only slept with Brienne out of pity. They loved each other. Most of us always knew it, but this should make it clear even to those who still doubted (or just decided to ignore) it.

Whoever wrote this did a good job of trying to make sense of the illogial points in Jaime’s character arc at the end of S8. Not bad at all for a short and sweet clear and concise summary.  I previously didn't care about this book, but now I might check it out.
