Hi! In the latest chapter, when R!Ciel said that he had no choice but to become the earl, there's dark shadow covering his eyes. Somehow I have a bad feeling about this... What do you think?

I think even though he’s smiling again afterwards he’s still not that happy about having to become an Earl. What’s most important to him at this point is not what he’ll become later but to be with his brother. He was always okay with becoming the Earl but he thought our Ciel would stay with him, becoming a vicar or something. Only when he heard that his twin had other plans real Ciel wanted to become a toymaker, too. Not because of the job but because he wanted to be with our Ciel.

The only thing that’s making him change his mind or at least accept his fate are Vincent’s and Rachel’s words about him being able to protect and help his brother as an Earl.

And I believe that in that moment afterwards when real Ciel’s eyes are covered some sort of change takes place in him. His top priority is no longer to stay with our Ciel forever but to be a big brother who needs to protect his weak younger brother and help him in times of need. And somehow I feel like this may have become a bit of an obsession for him and that he may think our Ciel wouldn’t be able to live on his own without his twin’s help…

not sure if its discussed yet.... But with recent yana's artworks on r!ciel halloween does he really a vampire in this current arc because of blood donation and stuff? (also the way he killed in the cult reminds me how dracula was killed when he was a human). So what of the other lords was also a vampires too.

That’s an interesting idea! I wouldn’t think that Bravat is a vampire but it’s basically confirmed that RC is something supernatural, after all he definitely did die three years ago and Sebastian did take his soul (probably). As for the other stars, it would be hard to speculate but Polaris does have super speed + strength so it’s a possibility, though I’m going to presume that RC and the stars are connected to the Bizarre Dolls first and foremost - just because it’s the strongest recurring theme in Kuroshitsuji and has to culminate somewhere.

If that becomes more unlikely, I’ll definitely start to speculate on other supernatural reasons…

I also think Yana just likes to draw the boys as vampires, OC has been one so many times! Look at his little fangs!! We’ve all seen these images before but I love them too much so please appreciate the softest boy.

hey!! so dumb question but.. at the end of 105/startof106 undertaker says "but the earl is still with us" (or something!) and ociel says "does he mean me or..." do you think he was talking abt his brother? ( ' c');; maybe he always feared the possibility of rc coming back?

Yeah! I think he’s talking about RC too. Not only because who else could he be talking about but also because this sentence mirrors a previous 2CT hint, in CH91-2 where the chapter basically ends in the exact same way:

It’s a real mystery though, this wasn’t the only time that OC has spoken as if he fears RC coming back… and that’s one hell of an assumption isn’t it?

It makes you wonder just what he did to RC’s body to make him worry something like this could happen. IMO since the reanimation of corpses is common-place in Kuroshitsuji I’d have to presume OC buried RC’s body as opposed to letting it burn up in the fire, perhaps it was somewhere on the grounds of where they were kidnapped.

RC’s body not being burnt in the fire also stands as a contrast to Vincent’s body which was burnt up, and in consequence could not be used by UT to create a Bizarre Doll - mentioned in the same chapter you brought up of course. :D

“Poor thing. He burned down to the marrow of his bones. With that manner of death, he could no longer… but, ahh– “Earl Phantomhive” still lives after all [because his body was not burnt in the fire OC started].“ -CH105

Regardless, it’s pretty obvious that since RC stands before us in CH129 we know that his body was not burnt haha. But the point remains, OC probably buried RC’s body somewhere (after he made the contract with Sebastian and before he burnt down the cultist’s hideout) and was potentially concerned that UT would have located it? Perhaps, but there’s likely another layer to this that I’m not seeing.

The thought of OC burying RC’s body is really upsetting though! He never got the respectful burial he deserved, and OC probably removed RC’s gravestone next to his parents to boot. No wonder he’s so angry and OC feels so guilty.

Do you think lizzie knows that our ciel is not the real ciel? Imo she thinks he's still the kid she fell for as a little girl and I wonder what will happen when she discovers the truth

By now I’m sure she must know! And if she isn’t convinced she’s at least half-way there, she’s had her suspicions ever since the Campania arc when OC started coughing, and then this was brought up once more in CH66 where Lizzy even tested OC to see if he was up to something - so she must be somewhat convinced by this point. If she thought Lord Sirius was OC then it doesn’t make sense why she never contacted Sebastian, or any of the Phantomhive servants for that matter. Lizzy knows that they could have helped her save ‘Ciel’ from the cult and yet she never does anything…

Plus, “I for one can’t return to that side!” directly refers to ‘both sides’ of the twins so she probably does know by this point. It’s up for speculation of course, but it’s more than believable to assume she’s figured it out.

I thought in the halloween pic it was oc since the right eye is covered

Yana always covers RC’s right eye in fanart! This is because many Japanese fans haven’t read the new chapters yet (they wait for the volumes to be released) and showing RC with both his blue eyes would be a pretty big spoiler. Especially since the 2CT was popular within the Japanese fandom.

Here she covered RC’s eye too! Though this was before the 2CT was revealed it’s the same principle since the 2CT still isn’t revealed for a lot of fans.

Besides:

RC is sitting in a coffin to symbolize his resurrection

He’s sitting in a ‘bed’ (well, a coffin) as RC always does.

The tag line Yana left on twitter says about ‘waking up’ much as UT says to RC.

UT is associated with this specific image of the coffin, as he is associated with RC in general. It’s probably not a coincidence that they look so similar.

There’s an item stabbed in his stomach much as RC experienced.

And potentially a clue: RC isn’t shown wearing the Phantomhive ring.

Though of course you can’t see his thumb and Yana does sometimes forget to draw it, but either way i’m fairly convinced it’s meant to be RC!
