Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because that’s what they can afford and they still don’t go to a food bank, im not sure if it’s because they’re embarrassed or maybe if you didn’t grow up going you don’t know much about it but if you’re financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation

Btw if you have dietary restrictions you can often let them know and in many cases they’ll prioritize certain items for you

TIME TO POST ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE IMAGES!!!!

Back when I worked at the hospital, I had to take MRI training and it was my favorite thing every time. It was only like 10 minutes long and went a little something like this:

Hey. The MRI is basically a really big magnet and by basically I mean it is and we literally never turn it off. It's like really big. Really really big and powerful and The Magnet is always on. We don't turn it off Ever, for any reason. We mean it bro, The Magnet is literally always on. It's crazy strong and will definitely kill you. So don't bring any metal into the MRI room, man. You will fuck up the machine (because The Magnet is always on) and then you will die (again, because The Magnet is always on). Here's some fun questions for you to test your understanding!

1) The ______ is always on.

2) The Magnet is ______ on.

3) How often is The Magnet on?

4) The Magnet is always __.

5) The Magnet is always on. T/F

6) The Magnet is usually on but we know to turn it off for you because you're a very special boy :) T/F

I am reminded of this Incident from a couple of years ago...

Basically, LAPD cops thought that the medical clinic was actually a marijuana front because they used lots of power compared to their neighbours (primarily retail stores), had tinted windows and security cameras and two people in similar clothes were seen at the premises - none of which would remotely be things you'd expect to see at or expect from a medical clinic at all ever.

Anyway, they did a raid, ignored all the "don't take metal in the MRI room" signs, got a gun stuck to the MRI, hit the sealed emergency stop button which caused expensive damage to the machine, picked up the gun and left the room... While leaving a magazine of ammo in the room.

Anyway the clinic sued the City of Los Angeles and the LAPD (among others). I don't believe the case has yet to go to trial nor has it been settled.
