Because I never posted it, these are some if the scale patches for Khadgars cloak. Each patch is 36 scales, linked with jump rings (¼"). There are 1200 scales on the cloak, and will likely be around 1500 on the new cloak when I make it.

I ordered the rings in amazon, and the scales are the extra large mirrored aluminum from theringlord.com

In total, the cloak weighs around 10 or 12 pounds.
