Very much WIP as I try to get my feet under me with doing an RP blog again for the first time in years

I'm an adult, Luka's an adult, there will be 18+ stuff on this blog so please also be an adult if you're going to interact with it.

Luka snorted at that, shaking her head at the idea. A pointless hypothetical, neither of them would ever so much as consider it for more than a joke. ...Well, a joke or...certain fantasies that were best enjoyed when they remained firmly in the realm of fantasy, anyway.

"I do." Smirking a little, she added with an incredibly fond tone, "You smell."

Luka noticed Miku's little chin rubs, it was impossible not to catch the scent marking, just like when she pressed her cheek against her lover and did the same thing. She was much more used to it though, having grown up surrounded by kemonomimi. She distinctly remembered scenting whatever she wanted to make sure her brother wouldn't take and try to pretend like he didn't know it was hers.

"I'm glad you like them. I'll enjoy seeing you wearing them." A bit like seeing Miku with a hickey that she left behind, but with the comfort of knowing it wouldn't risk getting her in trouble. A sign that she was Luka's, shrouded in her clothes, her scent. A comfort to a slightly possessive predator.

She went back to drying her hair, trying to get it back to its usual fluffy state before getting into bed.

For a second, Miku couldn't help but joke a little at the comment, lifting one of her arms and doing as if she had to sniff herself, then looking back at Luka with a sly smile.

"Damn, I guess I gotta take even more showers, then."

After she finally was finished and wearing her girlfriend's clothes, she stepped closer to the cat even as she continued drying her hair, with arms crossed and perked up ears at the loud sounds, but clearly not uncomfortable.

"Need help with your hair? You know I don't mind getting it fluffy for you." Otherwise, she couldn't help but keep looking at her lover's tail, so fluffy and soft…so tempted to pet it.

She was at peace at the moment, enough so that Miku sighed softly, genuinely forgetting for a while about the bruises on her body or the complications of life itself.

Luka let out a soft 'mrr' of amusement at that, her good eye sparkling as she looked at her lover.

"Either that, or start wearing more of my clothes more often. Then you'll stink like me." Luka wouldn't have minded either option; the two of them taking more showers together, or Miku walking around dressed in her clothes more often. Both satisfied the hungry, slightly possessive little desire in her chest to pull that bunny close and say: mine.

Part-way through working on both drying her hair with one hand and running a brush through it with the other to keep it from tangling, she perked up at Miku's offer.

"Would you? I wouldn't mind the help." As self-sufficient as Luka was at this point in her life (particularly when it came to her own care), her heart jumped pleasantly at the thought of indulging a little in some allogrooming. Though, watching Miku's eyes lower, a slight smirk twitched onto her lips, and she lifted her still-slightly-damp tail, flicking it back and forth. "Unless you'd rather help with something else."

"Aw, you sure? No kits for us? It is funny that the english word is the same for baby cats and rabbits." Luka teased, her good eye sparkling with the playful mischief of someone with absolutely no horse in this race, so to speak. Outside of her heats, she never gave the idea of children a second thought. Her lifestyle was too self-centered to stop everything to dedicate her entire self to a child. A tiny person she could mess up if she didn't do it right.

"Just let me dry my hair a little so I'm not tracking water across the floor." Luka squeezed the water out of her hair and tail, fluffing her tail with the towel before grabbing a hair dryer.

"I'm sure all my clothes smell like me, I just can't tell because I live here and wear them. You'll probably stop even noticing it as much once you're here all the time." As kemonomimi, their scents were their own, even outside of shared shampoos or lotions or perfumes, but the thought of each other's becoming so commonplace as to be unremarkable was...charming. Luka could only barely remember a time when the scents of her family were as familiar as the back of her own hand.

Once she had gotten her hair damp-but-not-dripping, she wrapped a towel a little closer around herself before dipping into the other room to rifle through her clothes. When she came back, she was dressed in a comfortable, silk set of pajamas, and had a set of folded, slightly fuzzy pajamas for Miku

"They aren't going to fit you, but the pants have a string so you can keep them from falling down. Shirt will be big, but I figure that's part of the appeal."

"Hmh…I would only consider it if we could get to sell them for a million Yen." Perhaps pretty dark humor, but it's not like she was going to really do it. Not when she didn't intend to go through the process of giving birth, anyway.

Her body shivered for a moment for being exposed to the change of temperatures, but soon enough, she was stepping closer to Luka even if she was drying her hair and fluffy tail.

"No, you're right. It's how I'm super used to my own scent, but I'm sure you notice it on all my clothes and all." Or…when she rubbed her chin against Luka to mark the woman as hers. It was only something she's done to show affection before with her mother, her father too -before he lost his mind-, or previous romantic interests when at high school.

Yet, it was the first time she could do it with another kemonomimi, someone that was actually going to notice the marking, unlike humans.

As soon as Luka finished drying herself better though, Miku would take the chance to do the same while her girlfriend looked for some clothes, taking way less time because of her shorter hair.

At least, it was fluffy and wavy as usual, like cotton candy.

"I love all those lil details when wearing your clothes. For some reason, the oversized clothes from my kitten are way more comfortable than if they were my size." Winking, she dropped the towel that was currently around her body so she could pick the pajamas offered to her, hugging them first and nuzzling against the fabric before she started to dress herself.

Luka had been plenty embarrassed when she woke up this morning, the bulk of her heat over and her mind just clear enough to remember how desperately she'd fucked Miku like she could breed her if she tried hard enough. How much of a good idea it had seemed like at the time, to have children when she'd only in the past few years stopped living like any day could be her last. Hormones were a hell of a thing.

"Not to mention you wouldn't be allowed to drink if you were." Luka leaned forward a little more, fully pressing her front to Miku's back, turning off the water and hoping her body heat kept it from being too unpleasant of a shock for Miku to be robbed of the steam and hot water. Playfully tapping her lover's stomach, she added, "Good thing I can't do that to you, hm? Poor thing."

She fumbled around with one hand, reaching outside the shower to grab at the fluffy towels hanging just outside so that she could swaddle her rabbit only a moment later before she could catch the chill in the air.

"I have some pretty soft pajamas if you'd like them."

She shivered at the thought, even making a subtle expression of disgust before she relieved some tension off her shoulders.

"Jeez…no alcohol? Torture. To not say I would get hella sick and I would be limited without being able to do lots of things I like. Then having to take responsibility on feeding a few more mouths? No, thank you."

Her ears tried to tense back up now that the water wasn't running anymore, finding comfort against the body of her lover, but also missing the sensation of a soft and dry towel around her body.

That's why it didn't take her long to follow suit and hop like a rabbit in front of the cat, humming and content now that she was wrapped in the fluffy towel, some comfort for her body after the rough night.

"I will gladly accept those soft pajamas, though- even better if they still smell like you."

Luka tried to take that thought and relax with it; 'bullies' in university, for as much of it as she experienced before blowing school off entirely, could be snide and nasty, but physical violence could much quicker grab an assault charge for an adult when compared to the pushing and shoving of children. Once she got out of this life, Miku had much less to worry about.

Miku's wording earned a snort of laughter and served as a distraction from the thoughts swirling in her head. "Maybe you're made to do that, I don't think I am." She teased right back, in full irony of having not even twenty-four hours ago come off of the heat that attempted to incentivize her to do exactly that.

"Yeah...? That sounds nice...." She purred softly, pleased at the thought of getting to lazily pamper her lover like that, to have Miku fall asleep in her embrace, safe and warm and content. "...Anything you want, Bunny. We can go get dried off before we fall asleep standing up."

Miku wouldn't take into account the fact that Luka herself had heats that made her want babies, maybe even wanting to carry them, but she was too aware of Luka's actual preferences when out of that stupid baby fever to take it seriously.

She kept her tone light, matching as best she could Miku's wide smile and relaxed demeanor (the last thing she wanted to do was to drag Miku's mood down after it had just gotten raised after a shitty day), but guilt still remained coiled in her stomach like a snake.

Torturous as a heat alone was in the moment, it wasn't physically dangerous, not really any more so than a regular heat; risk of dehydration, pulled muscles, lack of sleep. To be so demanding as to need Miku around and available for her for days at a time, even at the risk to her own wellbeing...ah, that was just like a cat, wasn't it? Selfish.

When Miku leaned back, resting her head against Luka's chest and looking up at her, Luka smiled instinctively, wrapping her arms around her lover's torso (ostensibly washing her stomach, though really she just traced lazy patterns).

"Mm...'s a miracle I didn't bruise your cervix the way we went at it."

"I doubt they're gonna beat me at school for not going to class for a few days." She remarked, trying to completely leave behind the life she had now.

After all, her current job and the people handling the business were questionable and shady…illegal, too. She was hoping that aside of your typical bully, she would do fine at school- if there were any bullies at a university level of studies, though, Miku would get worried about the lack of maturity otherwise, even if it can still very much happen.

That aside, the bunny didn't seem too worried about it; smile still present while she kept looking at her lover.

"I'm made of something else, babe. Muscles down there are crazy- we forget we're made to shit whole babies through our vaginas." Which sounded horrifying, but she couldn't help but laugh at how she said it, purring softly at how lazily Luka washed her, and closing her eyes a bit more.

"Despite the shit day I had and how tired I am, I can't believe I wouldn't say 'no' to falling asleep while you finger me…sounds extra relaxing…"

"I don't... hm." Luka hummed as she kept washing more of Miku's body, taking the time to collect her thoughts and speak carefully. "I don't want you doing that again if it's going to put you in danger. At this job or at school. Alright? I've handled heats alone before, I can manage not having access to you 24/7."

Sacrifices for the people who make you feel like you're living, not just surviving. A small sacrifice, in Luka's mind, and more than worth it if it meant she didn't have to ever deal again with the pit of ice that still sat in her stomach, refusing to melt even under the hot water.

Luka knew she was bad. Everything her mother said not to be. She hurt people. She wore the facade of someone who didn't care like a jacket. She wanted to believe she could be good. Maybe that started with being less selfish.

She didn't say any of that, though. She just moved on to the rest of Miku's body and spoke, her tone light and comfortable. "Shouldn't have to worry about that for a little while anyway. Cat kemonomimi don't go into heat as often as actual cats, thank the gods...."

Her ears would perk up as Luka recollected her thoughts, however, getting Miku's smile widening before she shrugged her shoulders.

"School's less serious than my job, in a way. They should be more understanding if I get sick. Plus, with you not studying alongside me, that means no one needs to know about your heat."

She could always catch up from home once the heat was over, but Miku didn't intend to leave her girlfriend on her own, specially not when she knew it was torture.

"This ain't about having access to me 24/7, it's about having me there when it matters the most."

Luka claimed no fondness of such nicknames (she'd given others a good scratch for saying less), but if Miku kept petting her ears like that, she could've called her just about anything and Luka still would've kept up the rolling, rumbling purr of delight in her chest.

"Mmm...think this makes my third one today...maybe fourth." For that reason, Luka stood behind Miku, letting her get the most of the hot water. She'd do the work of lathering up some soap and gently washing her lover's back, careful as her hands moved around fresh bruises, mindful not to press on any of them.

"...thank you, again, by the way." She spoke just loud enough to be heard over the rushing water. "For helping me out the past few days. Especially with...such a high cost."

She bit her tongue to keep from apologizing for something Miku already told her not to, but she couldn't quite help it.

As soon as the warm water started falling all over her body and head, Miku sighed in relief, rather deeply, letting her ears fall back while she let her lover take care of washing her back.

If she was alone, she would probably be at risk of falling asleep here, but at least it was a good sign that her shoulders and muscles started to relax better.

"Hmh?…" She looked over her shoulder while lifting one of her hands, to move away whatever wet strands of hair that decided to fall on her face, smiling as she listened. "You're welcome, babe…I dunno, I felt it was the right thing to do. I owe you more than I owe my boss or the clients."

After she arched her neck so water would fall better on her face, the bunny sighed once more and caressed with her hands to pull her hair back.

"It's worth making little sacrifices for the people who make you feel like you're living, rather than just, surviving, you know?"

Maybe it was selfish of her to not want Miku to call herself what she technically was. Possessive, to not have to think of her lover as a whore, someone for other people to use, but she let herself be.

Her ears twitched, with embarrassment almost, at the earnest way Miku said it, no doubt behind her words at all. Luka had said it to her in return when she was in heat, but barely remembered having done so.

"I know you do, Bunny." It was still hard to summon the words for herself, even as she held Miku in her arms like a princess through her house. Everything still felt so fresh, so fragile. Yet, as she stepped into the bathroom and flicked the light on, the stark reddish purple of Miku's bruises jumped out against her pale skin, and the sight pushed the words out of her mouth. "...'ve you too."

The distraction of a shower was welcome, and a smile made its way onto her face. "We can't have that." She turned on the water to start getting hot before bringing her hands back to her own clothes draped across Miku's body, carefully working to strip her in the gentlest way she could. It was only after steam started filling the room and Miku was fully nude that she took a much less tender approach to herself, eager to get in without standing around naked.

Maybe the bathroom mirror, not yet fogged up, had a small thing to do with that.

"Pirate…that works better." Her hand wouldn't stop caressing her kitten's ears, soothing to even herself with how soft the fur on her ears was, not unlike hers. "A sexy pirate, at that."

Her words came off as sweet rather than playful or teasing, but maybe it's because she was looking at her girlfriend with fondness as the warmth settled inside her chest.

Once inside the bathroom, it was Miku who didn't want to look at herself in the mirror for once, avoiding it completely so that horrible feeling of being filthy and gross wouldn't affect her further. That, and so she wouldn't have to see the bruises around her neck, still exposed and reminding her of what happened a few hours ago.

Instead, she focused on staying on her feet once back on the floor, helping Luka with taking all the clothes out of the way, and grateful that the medication was indeed making effect.

"Phew…there's nothing better than a warm shower after a day like this. Makes you feel for a moment that you can clean even your soul."

The smile that remained on her expression was one closer to melancholy, but it didn't take the rabbit long to enter the shower once the water was hot enough, eager to get closer to her lover when she also entered inside.

And in such a short span of time, really. The two of them had only met in the end of fall, early winter. It was spring, and with the new buds of plants so too it seemed was Miku's new life bursting into existence.

"That's because you love me." Luka teased, though the words still felt strange on her tongue. Miku had said it more than once, but the idea that someone loved her again, someone was making that mistake, still caught her off-guard.

"You want a shower or just freshening up a bit and then straight to bed?" Luka had spent more than a little time today cleaning herself already, but she'd jump into the shower again in a heartbeat if Miku wanted the company. If she couldn't beat up the bastard who gave her those bruises, she could at least try to be there for her.

"N'awwww…don't call yourself a cyclops, you still physically have both eyes even if one doesn't work." She cooed back, purposely trying to sound a little pedantic while she held onto her lover, but not doing it with ill intention, not when one of her hands was moving up to play with Luka's hair.

All in all, despite the worries Miku could have, she seemed genuinely happy right now. She hasn't felt like this in…years. Many years.

The one playing the gamble of life was her at the moment, and she's decided to bet all her chips on this woman.

Perhaps someone would call her foolish for doing so when it hasn't even been a year, and yet…

"That's right, I do love you." That came out softer than the rest of things she's said, but soon she would find the confidence to use the free hand to caress her girlfriend's cheek. "What about a quick warm shower, though?…I have this sensation I can't shake off of feeling filthy...I feel if I enter alone I could faint, though."

Maybe it was selfish of her to not want Miku to call herself what she technically was.
