While they waited for Nattie's Mom to answer her Facetime, Colby sent a quick text out to his own, asking if she was at the house and around his step-father, because he had planes to get them on Facetime next as soon as they were finished telling Nat's parents the news.

        One thing Trin had definitely missed about Florida were beaches. The woman was definitely a ‘beach babe’ but being a ‘lake lady’ ( did that even exist? ) wasn’t so bad either. He couldn't help but picture their daughter being like a mini-Avery, and the thought of that brought a slight smile to his features. "I dunno, I think I would be cool with that, but you know while we're thinking our son would want to be like me, or our daughter like you, it could be the total opposite." It was crazy but now that they were having all this talk about their unborn child, Colby found himself looking more forward to the birth because he couldn't wait to be a father. She was right, saying sorry wouldn't fix anything, because there would still be the thoughts of her trying to hide the fact that she was pregnant. He still couldn't help but think how long she would have waited to reach out to him, and because of that he had to push the thoughts away, otherwise he would have gotten mad, which was the last thing they needed since he wanted to somewhat mend their broken relationship. "Maybe he can smell Kev on my clothes," he replied, placing a had forth so the small dog could sniff his hand if he wanted. "Hey, buddy."  A pause made as those thoughts once again came flooding back, and as he pulled his hand away he returned his attention to Nicole. "Despite what happened between us, I can't believe you didn't think I would be ready to hear something like this, to know that I had a kid on the way...." He wanted to keep his thoughts to himself, but deep down he knew noting good would come of him keeping everything bottled inside.

Colby still was expecting to walk into a party, however the second he seen Kevin and Dixon run out with party hats, he couldn’t help but chuckle as he got out the car. “Now that’s what I call a surprise.” He leaned forward to pet each dog on their head, cackling as he read the back of both shirts. “Let’s see what else your Mom has in store for me.” He grabbed his bag from the backseat before heading for the front door with both dogs at his heels.

“I don’t hate you, never did,” which was true, it had been hard going months on end without talking to Maryse, and there had been a million and one times he wanted to reach out to her, but he always let his jealously get the best of him. “I’m not going to have you quit, just to make me happy, plus I know how much this comeback had meant to you.” He still would have preferred if she was actually wrestling and not being her ex-husband’s manager, but it wasn’t anything he could do about that, the only plus would be that she was finally on Raw again, and the two could travel together. “I want you happy, and as long as you’re mine, I can deal with you working with that Kermit the Frog looking bas—.” He had to catch himself since Jason was there. “-I can handle it,” he added, there was a slight pause made as he took in her reaction. “I want to come home.”
