The affirmation that being asexual doesn't mean you will be alone is "nice," but it does nothing to resolve the fact that many asexual people find themselves to be profoundly isolated.

It also puts the burden of achieving inclusion in society on asexual people without asking how society can better support people who can't depend on a sexual/romantic partner for stability.

Please pray for Jay, who has gotten leukemia now for the 5th time and will not be seeking treatment this time. I do not believe it is very far along yet but he is trying to do things on his "bucket list" like get a degree and own a business.

“Trying out sex” is not how you confirm or deny your asexuality. It might help you decide whether or not you enjoy sex. It might even help you decide which gender you prefer to have sex with.

But it will not, under any circumstances, confirm someone’s asexuality.

Because asexuality is not about whether or not you like sex. It’s about whether or not you experience sexual attraction.

Stop telling asexual people to “give it a try.” 

Stop questioning asexuals based on their sexual history or lack thereof.

You are missing the point.
