Introducing: Bindi Liebowitz

If you watched the video above then you’re probably wondering who’s this house-shaking vocalist? —literally, the set-up was loud enough to move the tables. How better could I have spent my weekend other than heading to an open mic turned solo act by Bindi Liebowitz? Bindi scorched Hell’s Kitchen of downtown Newark, New Jersey on September 20th with her searing voice; she brought the heat to the ‘kitchen.’ Each note gliding throughout the small space; each note dropping a bit of Heaven in ‘Hell.’

Luckily, I had a chance to sit down with her and learn about her story. We here at BlackSeoul cover Korean Pop culture and Hip Hop, but we do have an obligation to the first half of our name to bridging Black and Korean music and culture. Plus, I couldn’t pass up the chance for an interview, especially after hearing her live a second time.
