Nintendo has traditionally teamed up with Prima Games for their officially licences-ed game guides, but this time around they have teamed up with Piggyback. They will be releasing three versions of the guide, including standard, special edition, and what appearsâŠ
Must have
Shigeru Miyamoto and The Roots Perform the Super Mario Bros. Theme!
Magical moment
Samus and the Hunters
- Samusâs Chozo DNA grants her a much higher aerobic capacity: Assuming she remains hydrated and fed, she can run a 7-8 minute mile pace indefinitely.
- Although Samus is often a loner, she has conducted many missions with other Hunters. They all agree that while she is very capable, she is hard to work with.
- Samus has a centuries-old archive of music from various species, and will play music to herself often through her helmet.
- Rundas, like other Phrygisians, is a mesotherm. His body temperature adjusts based on his surroundings, to keep his internal temperature at -25° Centigrade. This is so the gases in Rundasâs blood remain a liquid instead of boiling out. How ge can maintain his high level of activity with such a low temperature is still being studied.
- Rundas often tries to be funny, but his jokes are usually obtuse or simply not funny. He thinks heâs hilarious.
- Gandrayda and other Jovians are unusual life-forms, with a conductive metal skeleton that generates a powerful inverted magnetic field to hold their body plasma together. Galactic Federation scientists are still studying the mechanics of these organisms.
- Gandrayda is notorious for practical jokes involving electricity and magnetism, such as blacking out computer terminals, or using static to stick various objects to colleagueâs armor.
- Ghorâs affinity for technology makes him a valuable computer scientist as well as a Hunter; Many of the Galactic Federationâs weapons and vehicles are based on his designs.
- Ghor, when not in armor, often works with Samus to store archived music, video, literature, and artwork. Together, theyâve indexed almost all the complete work of many species.
So beautiful!! This game will have so many wonderful tunes to share! :D

FINAL FANTASY X SUPER SMASH BROS!! : CLOUD STRIFE
It's lit.
Cloud In Smash
The shock hasnât completely worn off but Iâm mostly calm. Calm enough to explain what happened to me last week. As Iâve stated in the past âFF7 showed me how gaming can be an art form in 1997. Emotion, depth, character development, beautiful music. It's apart of me.â The mere thought of FFVII reminds me why I love gaming. It triggers something within me. I cried when they finally announced the FFVII HD Remake. So you can imagine, when they revealed Cloud Strife as a newcomer for Smash last Thursday, I lost my freaking mind.
Reggie was finishing up the Directâs finale by saying âThereâs a new trailer approaching.â Immediately I stood up from my comfortable couch and stared at the TV as it lit a starry sky. I thought to myself... âThis is space... Are we seeing Wolf?â Then a glimmer of doubt grasped my mind. âWait, I know this music. Itâs something near and dear to my heart.â However, the excitement of a new character approaching dulled my retention.
As the starry sky dissipated into the Smash Logo, the musical chords struck me like a lightning bolt. âItâs the opening music to Final Fantasy VII!â At this point, my mind started to erupt. My entire life I have never believed a post Super Nintendo Final Fantasy character would stand a chance of entering Smash. But, after Thursday I learned âLimits are meant to be broken.â
As the Final Fantasy VII logo appeared, I placed my hands over my mouth while my eyes watered. I just witnessed the logo of my favorite game in a presentation by my favorite video game company when theyâre talking about my favorite fighting game! I literally could not comprehend what was going on!
I gasped for air, but only sensation entered my lungs. I remember saying to myself âTheyâre announcing Cloud. Please no... I wonât be able to take it.â And there he was. From his boots, to his sword, to his oddly shaped spiky hair. Cloud stormed the field.
The rest is honestly a blur. I remember screaming, throwing my couch cushions, and saying a lot of âohmygodohmygod.â I wish I could relive it.
As Iâm sure you can tell, I was absolutely amazed by his trailer and the attention to detail they put in his character. Smash Bros is really a magical game. The developers know how to make each individual character shine. I can only hope Cloud shines in the competitive scene as well.
Either way... Iâm happy.
My boy made it in.
Apologies for the lack of posts. Our entire staff was blown back to Gaia by Cloud's announcement trailer. Who's ready for this legendary matchup!? #LegendOfZelda #SuperSmashBros #Cloud #Link #HylianArtMuseum
Top 5 Nintendo Direct Hopes
The day is finally upon us. Yes, Nintendo is hosting their first Direct in five months later today. I wanted to go over my thoughts on what I hope this Direct accomplishes. But first, let's recap on some key events that's happened in between the new direct and E3.
Lucas, Roy & Ryu became available as DLC fighters in Smash for Wii U & 3DS.
Nintendo holds their E3 press conference which doesn't live up to the expectations of many fans. With few surprises and not much of a holiday line up fans began to doubt the lifespan of the Wii U. NX Speculation continued to grow.Â
Splatoon proves to be a major hit for Nintendo while amiibos only increase in popularity as well as rarity.
The President of Nintendo, the legendary Satoru Iwata, suddenly passes away due to bile duct cancer. A few months later, Nintendo named Tatsumi Kimishima President.
Super Mario Maker releases and proves to be a huge success.
Smash ballot ends while more NX whispers are heard.
Nintendo announces Pokemon Go and soon after their first Smartphone release Miitomo.
So many are expecting so much in what may be the most anticipated Nintendo Direct since the 50 Fact Extravaganza. However, there are 3 items that I'm 99% positive will not be mentioned in the new Direct; Mobile, NX, and Zelda Wii U. With that said... See below to find my top expectations for today's Nintendo Direct!
Number 5:Â Splatoon Octolings DLC
Data miners man. I need to learn how they do it.
There have been pictures and such of the Octolings playable in Splatoon. Of course, they're only accessed through hacking, but it's obvious they're planned to be playable at some point. I'm anticipating multiplayer modes based on Octolings or an avatar swap, but I'm hoping for a brand new single player Octarian campaign. Splatoon's Single Player was amazing. I would happily pay for more of its content if Octolings took the lead.
Number 4: Â Tri Force Heroes DLC
Tri Force Heroes is pretty lengthy. But, as with any decent Zelda game, I want more. More costumes, brand new levels (The Dark World!!) with different challenges than the few we already know, and, most importantly, an updated Single Player mode.
Let me be clear, I like Single Player, but there are certain aspects about it that create frustration when attempting the various Drablands challenges. Timed missions can be nearly impossible unless you memorize the structure of the level and make no mistakes. Certain boss battles are an issue as well when needing to coordinate between more than one Link.
I'm not sure how they'd fix these issues, but, I'd have an easier time if my Doples were allowed to wear costumes.
Number 3: Â Linkle in Hyrule Warriors 3DS
We all saw the crossbow in the promotion art for Hyrule Warriors 3DS right!? No? Check again. It's the only weapon not held by any character and some believe it to be used by the female Link... Linkle. Yes Linkle (hopefully they give her a better name). She has only been seen in concept art for the original Hyrule Warriors on Wii U. With more characters still unannounced for Hyrule Warriors 3DS, Iâm hoping she becomes playable as she would be one of the few unique characters to the spin-off series.
I firmly believe a female version of Link will be an interesting idea. Hyrule Warriors would definitely be the game to play with these kind of concepts.
Number 2: Â Smash Ballot Winner and/or New Fighter
I imagine Smash Bros is the game most people have on their mind when discussing the new Direct. The renowned Smash Ballot ended a month ago! Nintendo surely knows who won. I'm almost certain they're going to tease what character the fans have voted on.
Also regarding Smash... It has been almost half a year since Lucas, Roy & Ryu were released. It seems to take about 5 to 6 months to create a new character. Which leads me to believe we may see Smash character DLC before the end of the year. This Direct will be the perfect opportunity to show us a new fighter. My bet is they'll finally bring back Wolf.
Speaking of Wolves...
Number 1: Â Twilight Princess HD
Please... Please just announce it. Let it come out this year. And let me be graced again by Midnaâs wonderful character (best companion hands down).
I NEED Twilight Princess HD. It's one of those things that I always wanted but never considered a possibility because of how incredibly awesome my vision of the outcome is. I never imagined it to be feasible. Then the data miners went in... The hackers hacked... And information was leaked all over Twitter. Twilight Princess HD is happening. I need to know when and I need to see it now.
Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess were three of my favorite games growing up. In my eyes, they were the holy trinity of Zelda. While my views of Twilight Princess have changed since then... It's still an amazing game that I feel Nintendo can easily recapture the magic I felt long ago with an HD remake.
I love this track. The 8-Bit version legitimately sounds like something out of Dragon Quest.
We're getting close to Halloween. The day where the dead walk and evil thrives. Let's start the celebration by taking a look at a rather disturbing piece. The Puppet Princess brings us back to that moment when the Demon King took possession of Zelda's consciousness. Forcing her to do his will. However, this piece shows a different side of the situation. Ganondorf's sympathy. You can see compassion in the way he gently caresses Zelda's face. It's almost as if he's saying "It's better this way. You'll be safe with me, Princess." #LegendOfZelda #TwilightPrincess #PrincessZelda #Ganondorf #HylianArtMuseum
Since this institution is run mostly by Sheikah, we can't help but wonder if Sheik will make an appearance in Zelda U. She has not been seen in a flagship title since her conception in Ocarina of Time. Will the developers have her return? Will she once again be Zelda's mysterious alter ego? Or take on another role? Either way, we hope to see her back! #LegendOfZelda #ZeldaU #OcarinaOfTime #HylianArtMuseum
